Ok so me, Hell-Kitty, 2 of my freinds, and xRixKUx are going to go to ...someplace.... on friday the 1st of september at ....sometime....

When anything changes i'll post it here. One of the people that started this thread are welcome to jump in and help at any time.

I was thinking of maybe one of these places:

I thought the con started at 7 am on Saturday morning... since it says the dates for the con are the 2nd-4th. Saturday is the 2nd.... so it doesn't matter what time that evening we go right? I'll likely be going, but that is if our train doesn't get into town late like it did when I came up a couple weeks ago. Yes, I've decided train is better than driving....

If someone can teach me how to make different foods taste different, I am happy to see y'all at a Mongolian Grill. Too bad Waddle's closed down there on the same island.

If anyone here is going to the July meeting, scout the island, and tell us if anything good is there, or if we are going to have to go elsewhere to meet and eat.

Sorry xRIxKUx, I don't believe there are waiters. I do think they bring your drink though. It's a grill, where you get all your food and then you give it to the grillers and the put it on a grill and they grill in front of you. It's really cool.

We're all set for that place. I think I set the time at 5:00pm and you come in your cosplay outfit or if you don't have one, come anyways! ^_^

Yes, it's Friday, at 5PM, at Chang's Mongolian Grill, dressing up.

Me being an idiot, I thought it was friday, saturday, sunday but then I remember it was saturday, sunday, monday. So yes, it'll be friday.
It's 0.4 miles from the hotel most people are staying at.

We don't need to alert them. We're just a big group coming in.
We serve ourselves to the food, they grill it in front of us, we go sit down and eat. Then we get as much as we want for about $10. I believe that's how it works. They do bring us drinks.
Xi_chan, hopefully you can come. You don't have to be dressed but I think it's funny if we all did. It's something exciting. And the restaurant is only a block away from the hotel.

Any idea what the head count is so far? It might be a good idea to notify the restaraunt anyhow, just so they know to have enough to feed us all. I really doubt they'd plan for the extra 50+ people that night otherwise...

yeah, that's what i'm thinking. i've had plenty of experience in the restaraunt buisness, we should definitely notify them. it can be a real nightmare to have enough stuff prepped and enough people staffed and prepared for a big crowd. let's not be inconsiderate and put the people there through unnecesary stress. all it will take is a 2 minute call.

Perhaps the best way to get a head count is to start another thread and put a poll to ask if they are going or not, that would be easiest and then to see who exactly is going they post yes or no after voting on the poll?

I don't know how accurate of a number we would get. It's hard to tell how many would respond to the poll and then how many of them would make it and then how many people would decide to come last minute and bring all of their friends... hehe...

I think we should just give the place the heads up so they know to expect a large group and leave the invitation open to everyone that can make it.

ai, this is true. well then, we'll just tell them to expect a large group and if they ask us how many then i would say about 30 or so?
