web comic artists--up to pinch-hitting?
« on: July 28, 2006, 03:30:21 pm »
i have a webcomic workshop scheduled for the creation station, but my wonderful long-term volunteer and winner of multiple contests is likely to, for financial reasons, be unable to attend kc. (she put her cancellation at 80% likelihood.)

i only have til tomorrow to decide whether or not to cancel the workshop.

is there anyone on the forums who believes they have the concrete skills and experience to run a workshop on webcomics--preferably on how to create them?

thanks,
rem.
p.s. you may also call me at 541 543 9524

Go to kjasi.deviantart.com and check out my friend's work.  He's been in the bussiness of webcomics for a while and might be interested.  His name is Alex and he is attending the Con this year.  He might join the forum but give him an email.

I used to have a webcomic called "Elvin Unit" for about two and a half years.

But then brinkster.com ate it a month or so ago and I lost all of my coding. :C

Comics are fun. : D

So are you having a panel on comic drawing, you say?

It may be a huge longshot, but you can always shoot an email to "Greg Dean" of Real Life Comics and see if he wouldn't mind helping you with your situation. I'm 99% sure that he's going.

It's always worth a shot. You never know, and you never will if you don't ask.
