But Leigh may not be able to go because she may not have any lolita clothes. D: Her dress ripped, the one from the tea party.

Now if only she had access to a Gothic Lolita Repair Kit she coud cover the the tear with extra ribbons and lace

That looks like it'll be a good one.
But the 3D rendering makes me cry, because I'm sure it was done in Maya { The programme they're teaching me in college. } And...I can't do anything even remotely that good. ;___;'

But it looks so preeeeetty!~~

And I hope I can come, too. >_<

Agreed.

I was thinking we could have plates ready next year (Aka we could have finger sandwhiches, pastries and fruit on a plate and just hand those out) What do you think of that? Or like have a little cute menu with stuff on it. And make people clean up because jesus, for polite young maidens they sure didn't clean up after themselves. >_>

That reminds me my mother un-law once gave me a book on etiquette for the victorian/1920's young lady.  It's hilarious.  If I can find it i'll let you kids look at it (from afar and you cant open the zip lock baggy as it's about 100 years old)

Maetel- Yes,I think that'd be a good idea. :) I don't think it'd be quite as expensive or wastefull.

Irate - I chipped in, with the Blueberry tarts 52 bucks. I don't know how much everything else cost though. I'd expect around 100 bucks for food, not counting the lolita prizes Saba bought. :) An dI'd love for you to help. When it gets closer to Con time we can really plan everything, but now it's just a rought idea of what it would be about. :D

Vondan - That sounds cool. XD I think those attiquite books are hilarious (The part where the women always have the meals ready for the man after a hard day's labour!). Haha. I'd just tell him to cook his own food. xp

Yeah I have the Amy Vanderbuilt Book of etiquette and it's a hoot with all the things you have to do in polite society and often make those June Clever types comments about keeping the house and assumes every husband works in an offcie.

I have another one on young catholic ladies that seems to be just telling them to go work for a rich family as a cook or maid and shut up and know your place.

Some one needs to make a book of Nerdy Etiquette

yeah, mine was published in 1900. it has all kinds of interesting stuff: how a gentleman/lady should behave, how to call upon people, how to greet others in the street, what do to when visiting the president, etc

Caroline spent about $50 on the tarts, I spent $100+ on the other food & decorations, and about $80 on the prizes

@ Maetel: Hm, that's quite a lot of money. But at least if several people split the costs it isn't nearly as bad as if one person had to pay for it all. o_o;

@ Caroline: Oooh, okay~
Though, what would be useful to explain at the How-To?
This years' one was kind of random and didn't really explain very much. o.O;

You're so... strange Vondan. xD (Howver, there will be NO cosplay Gothic Lolita becuse Gothic Lolita is not a costume, it is fashion. ;) )

Ashely-
Is the how to, I'm thinking of having people go over the styles on lolita fashion that they know best. Last year, I belive it was more cosplay oriented lolita (From EGL inspired titles such as Chobits or Pita Ten, ect) and how to construct such a style. This time it'll be going over general guidelines from all the styles (Black/White Style, Himelolita, Sweet/Amaloli, ita/reta/cos/loli, punk loli, casual lolita, gothic lolita, classical/traditional, ero loli, ECT.) what is and isn't concidered lolita (Hot topic, ect) tips and such on hair and makeup, and discussion on popular lolita debate (Eliteism, brand loyalty, 'lolita' the word used in a bad sense). :) A very informative panel.

Ohhh but ever since the dark Alice video game the butcher knife is an expected and delightful accessory to any Victorian cosplay/fashion.  Nothing says adorable like bloody a pinafore apron and an over sized carving knife

Ooh, that does sound informative!
I hope we have all the right kinds of clothing to discribe all the fashions so that we can have examples for people to look at~

Haha, yeah, a lot of my friends are like "You like LOLITA? Oh my god, you must be a pedopervert, eeewww~~"

And I have to explain that it's the way I sometimes dress, not...perversion. o.O;

@ Frost: Yeah, that's me. People seem to think I look like Kiera in photos, but the girl that plays Hermione if they see me in person. o_____o;

I don't think my hair is frizzy like that Harry Potter girl's hair, though~

FYI, according to the most recent map there is going to be only one room with the tables set up in "rounds". You know, the round tables for people to sit at and be social. The kind where you'd have a TEA PARTY.

It seems that it is also going to be the room for RPGs.

If we can get enough groups together to do tea parties or other socializing events, we can probably get one whole day set aside for it, so that you don't have to kick random people out of the room to set up.

Just....mentioning it....
