Swag Bags?

I was reading a thread about picking up badges early on Friday, and someone said that you also get "Swag Bags" too.  So my question is, What's a Swag Bag?  And what's inside?  And will I only get one if I pick up my badge early?

swag bag are filled with cute little cards with anime pics on it, manga sa,mplers and more like the programs and such, i not sure but thats what has been in them before,

Swag is really free stuff that gets given away at conventions or at any place really.

swag bags are awesome! They usually have stuff that relates to the con as well as a con schedule. At least that's how it was at Sakuracon. As far as I know, everyone gets one until they run out. And how fast they run out dpends on how many people come to the con.

Usually the first 100 swag bags have cooler stuff in them, but not always.

One year we didn't get a batch of stuff until later so the first 100 bags actually missed out on the cooler looking post cards.

The most important thing is you Con Booklet (usually with a spot in the back for autogaphs) and hopefully the pocket schedule of events (which was a new addition last year that I really loved).

So in order for you to get a bag you have to be one of the first couple of hundred people there? This will be my first time particapating in a convention for the full 3 days...so is there a line you stand in? Because i want to be there ^_^

No not at all. Everyone gets a bag, he was just saying sometimes cons will put special items in the first 100 bags.

Can you also sign into the con Friday?
We already got our badges in the mail but it says we need to still check in and I have to hand in my parent permission form and get the baggy.

If you already have your badges, then you will probably get a swag bag when you enter the con. They still have to check your badges for you to get in.

The bags are given to all attendees. The only time any would miss out is if attendance was far greater than expected. We estimate final at-the-door attendance based on the number of pre-registration received when pre-registration closes.

All bags have a con book and pocket program guide.

However, many items in the con book are provided as freebies by industry. In some cases, they are placed there as advertising. In both cases, the items are produced/printed/provided to us by an outside source and we don't have control over the number they give us, so we give away what we have.

Actually, I remember this there in 2005 (I was just an attendee then, my first year).

In any case, there will be a pocket programming guide this year also, and it will be posted on the web site shortly before the con as well as being in the bags.

Yes. Definitely Yes.
As far as what time? I think that around 5pm we might have some stuff set up for PRE-REG people to pick up their bags and get their badges scanned into the system. Only pre-reg though. Everyone else still has to line up the next day.

Yes we will be handing out swagbags at pre-reg line on Friday Night.
What would the point of Friday night pre-reg be otherwise?
