4) I will be 26 by the time con comes around again.
5) Staff. I'm interested in a few positions.
Registration Manager: I worked with the Registration Desk on both Saturday and Sunday in 2006, so I do have a feel for what goes on behind the desk and what can go wrong. As a registration manager, you need a person who is organized who can deal with whatever issues come up not only during con, but also before con as well. I would be willing and able to commit my time and be accessible to our attendees for whatever questions or concerns they may have.
Info Desk Manager: I worked on Info Desk directly in 2005, and, in 2006, did my best to field any questions as a general staff member that our attendees might have had in passing. I am a person who is able to handle talking with our attendees about whatever issues or question they may have, as well as organizing the information that they will need.
Volunteer Coordinator or Personnel Manager: A huge part of this job is communication and organization. I would be willing and able to keep the lines of communication open to not only reach out to new people that may be interested in volunteering or staffing our con, but also keep everyone organized with scheduling who will be doing what when.
Grunt: As it's basically been my position for the past two years, if you want me to work as a grunt again, I'm willing to do so. Tell me where you need me, and I'll be there.
As a note to my qualifications, my job in the world outside of the con is as a customer service representative. I work very well with people and can handle troubleshooting on a regular basis.
If you have any questions, please pm me, or email me at valliegirl@gmail.com
Edit: Also, as for availability, I do work full time during the year, but I have lots of free time on my hands and would be able to help out with anything that needs to be done outside of con. My new job gives me weekends off guaranteed so I shouldn't miss a meeting unless it's held in a location I can't get to by trimet or can't otherwise arrange a ride to (like to Eugene). And, of course, I will be at the con's full disposal on Labor day weekend, and can easily arrange for time off. Next year, I plan to be able to get there Friday morning and be available through Tuesday.
