^ Sort of, yes. I'm trying to self-study enough to take the NCEES Professional Engineering Exam in Metallurgy, but I'm 'only' a P.E. in Mechanical Engineerin. Lots of 'stuff next door' to study. It's been made harder by the number of US steel mfr's that went bankrupt. They used to give away design manuals through their sales offices, free. These books are becoming rare. Kinda likw how we are withnessing a descent into a kind of Dark Age...
