^ Close range would be a baseball bat, probably (not loud, doesn't require refueling of any kind, most likely won't get lodged in a zombie like a sharp weapon might), long range would be ideally a bow and arrow (again doesn't require refueling in the traditional sense since really you can make new arrows, isn't loud like gunfire, and is easier to keep clean and transport), but I'd settle for a silenced sniper rifle and have fun playing target practice from my balcony. Hopefully, however, I wouldn't be dealing with them at all. I'd rather hole up and wait for them to die off than go out with guns blazing and risk being bit or worse. Yes, I have put a lot of thought into my zombie plan.

< on top of which, December is a naturally stressful month. I want to blame the human Psyche of us not liking "ends". Holidays in deed do not help with said stress on most people from my own experiances.
