^ Kind of. One time I was at this mall and I was wearing my Zelda hat and this random lady came up to me and was all "ZOMG ZELDAAAAAA" And then she started rambling on and on about Zelda and then she asked me if I liked anime. As soon as I said yes her eyes lit up and we had about an hour long conversation about anime. It was interesting

< There was a time I was hanging out with cosplay friends from Anime club dressed as Aoi Nagisa from Strawberry Panic! and this guy who was a part of a cosplay group called "Cake on a Plane" Approched me in a GameStop and talked to me about Kumoricon and anime. Pretty awesome dude.

V Are there any weird hand gestures people catch you doing often that you don't realize you're doing? Or hand gestures you see other's doing often?

< I kind of wish they would add a Help thread to the K con boards, just because sometimes members need help and advice but have no one specific they can turn to, and the admins and crew don't have ll the answers.

< I only really hate the drizzly type of rain that stays all day.I love to stand out in the the rain, especially if it's those big fat raindrops that pelt down really fast and soak everything in a matter of seconds.

^ Sun. Rain only if the wind was high enough to playfully pull at the cape I'd be wearing, and if someone had a camera to capture the moment.

< The rain is an annoying yet necessary element. It just doesn't mix well with sweat on forehead, especially while walking down the road to catch the long bus ride home. Though if the rain weren't so cold, the warmth of finally boarding the bus wouldn't be as pleasing a victory.

^Day One. I got to be in the anime dating game and felt really special and important, since it was my first day as a character people recognized, liked and wanted pictures of.

< I'm so excited for my Sho cosplay... the people who recognize me will be asked for a hug, every single time, no doubt

^ That I've done or that I've seen? I've only really done one really good cosplay, though my first cosplay was a disaster. I was trying to do Larxene and the fiber gum I was using on her hair washed out in the rain. It was awful

< After that I said "I'm never doing an Organization XIII cosplay again". Oh, look, I'm doing Marluxia >.>

^ More like I want to cosplay from a series that I don't even know much about. I know the web has some info on some of the stuff, but to actually become a fan who's seen it firsthand requires money outside of my reach.

< In a constantly evolving crowd, it's a fevered pace to keep up with everyone. Sometimes us old ones hang back with the classics because we have no way to buy new stuff. It's hard to maintain this thing called a life as it is, but we refuse to leave this fandom behind. Hope some of you understand what I mean.

V In general, what benefits do you see in cosplaying and otakudom other than social recognition and a closet full of anime merch?

^ A boffer replica of Tetsusaiga from Inuyasha, that I still plan on redoing. It looks more like Cloud's Buster Sword turned white and fuzzy, though it's also safe and useable for LARPing.

< FINALLY nailed down my design for my Steampunk!Marluxia, though it could seriously be for any of the Org members. I chose Marly because I like his hair the best
