The sonic boom from an F-14 Tomcat. It was less than 1/4 mile away from the ship I was on.

Maybe the loudest thing I ever heard was the steam leak that knocked me on my @ss. The boss was yelling at the top of his lungs at me, and I couldn't hear him at all over the 150 psi steam flooding the fireroom. The leak was a broken steam line 150 psi and 1 1/2 inches in diameter.

But I was wearing earplugs at the time too.

Maybe it was a pipe bomb that used cannon powder?

^I guess I have the fondest memories of "Colorful Bird" fireworks. They would take off and fly over the edge of the bluff in Oregon City and just go. Looked like they were doing helicopter tours of old O.C. But then we had fun having a 4 1/2 hour illegal fireworks show. Jumping jacks are cool too. Modify them no, I'd rather make my own than to screw up what they have done, that's just asking for a hurtin'.

< Two more hours to go. My back will be so ready to go home.

V are you going to watch, buy, or make fireworks this year?

^I think that changes so often. It seems I see a string of one companies shows, and then I see someone else's string of shows. I guess it's a lot like what have you done for me lately. So I guess it is either WB, FOX, or Universal. MGM just hasn't done much since Planet of the Apes, in my book to count. And Disney is too niche marketed to say they are the best.
