Death Note live action movie

is there already a topic about this? hopefully not. but i'm sure you've heard about it.

Death Note has officially become a live action movie. :3 Part I has already been released in Japan (June 17, 2006), with Part II being released November 2006.
My excitement can hardly be expressed by words. XD

The Peppers only did the ending theme, Dani California.

Dani California is a good song, though.

I've known about this for awhile, just havn't looked into it. Movies based on anime or manga alot of the time turn out bad. I hope thats not the case for Death Note.

they say they don't plan to release it in the us but based on its popularity that might change

yea.....i wanted to see the japaneese version so bad! but i was happy enought with the american grudge......after all, it was kidna weird cuz the main character had my name and i'm going to japan when i'm around that age..........so.......................yea.

It isn't a half bad movie (I saw it when I was in Japan last summer). The director takes several creative licenses with the plot, but everything moves fluidly and matches up pretty will.

One thing you learn from the movie, DeathNote has a mistranslation (well sorta). Kira is actually pronouced Killa. You hear it a lot during the movie, and it makes sense if you compare the sounds of RA when written to mean an English word. (RA ends up sounding like LA because your tounge is pressed against the back of your teeth). Random DN trivia.

Overall good movie. Worth watching.

i always have trouble with my r's in japanese the rs are almost like l's and are interchanable when it comes to changing to english, the bleach ,my boyfriend got from china say rukias name lukia in the translations

They have the Death Not live movie on youtube right now. Only problem is that its raw, no subs... T.T
Just search Death Note movie, it thinks it starts on page 3 or 5. I know its in there somewhere.
