Well yeah, we make our own drugs pretty darn good. Why buy from foreign terrorists, when you can have US made pharmaceuticals, and other fun stuffs!?!

Think global, shop local!

That or "Grow your own."

You know, in Korea they eat puppies, and I bet some of our troops in the past have eaten some & didn't know it (maybe some did).

This topic clearly relates to the world in chaos. It keeps spinning around creating more chaos. Everything is chaos, even troops who drink booze in Iraq, Afghanistan, or anywhere where there is impending terrorism in that country(even here too). Chaos.

Sometimes it's hard to get your hands on booze if you're stationed in an Islamic country, Saudi Arabia, for example.  I've heard stories of squads resorting to cases of Nyquill for entertainment.

As some one who tried to get in the military and would have been been in gulf war 1 but for my liver (the guy who took my medic spot was sent) I would be realy insulted if some one gave me a flask of booze as some sort of half assed macho america going away present.  it's like they are sayng  take this bottle of drunk Juice and be a icon of all that is stupid and red neck in america.

Wow, what have you guys got against drinking?  Puritains?  Parents were alcoholics?  Besides Dan, with regard to your earlier statement, it's when our guys rape and murder civilians (as was in the news today) that gives them a bad name, not boozing it up.

My dad and brother were/are drunks (and my brother a dope head, dad said he would have used Marijuana if it had been invented when he was a kid) I'm actually the only one in the family who does not have an addiction problem or be self destructive.  I try to do every thing in life the opposite of how my father would have.  I was probably more influenced by reading to many fantasy novels ware the heroes had codes or honor and morality.

That and all the kids who drank and partied in HS were idiots

And yeah I’d be the first one to frag any one in my unit I found raping and murdering civs.  Even before I worked with dead and maimed kids I have a short tolerence for abuse of kids and those unable to defend them selves.  By the same token not impressed by people who stay in a situation when they can choose to walk away.  I went on one date with a women who spent a lot of time talking about how her x husband used to beat her, their daughter and latter beat another girlfriends kid to death (who I had to deal with) and I was thinking what kind of person chooses not to do the right thing and shoot a man who beats a child.  I passed on the “easy” time that night.

Of course they say the homoerotic torture is ok because it just like the stuff Bush did as a Plebe in the Skull and Bones frat.

Alcoholics give beer a bad name. I love the sauce.

BUT, it must be kept in moderation lest you get sick and look like a complete fool. That's the key word: moderation.

I have a neutral stance on alcohol. I only really drink it when I'm around people I trust(however, I do everything else around everybody I don't trust... how that happens, I don't know)

yeah its really high up you can see all of portland at night it pretty,  in the usbank building, close to psu and has parking lot inside and they validat your parking and really yummy food like tempura shrimp salmon skewers and sushi, ranging from 2-4 bucks i went there with kb and hsome people he works with , once we got there it was cramed packed you have to ask people when they leave if you can have there table we lucked put because the people i asked were really nice and made sure i was sitting at table before they left cuz there are mean people who will just walk infront of you and take your table hence my idea of getting there early and snaging table

I'd have to say w00t to that!   Two dollar sushi sounds like a very good deal indeed, and it would be really kind of you to get a table for us.  I'm usually done with work by 5:30 and it wouldn't take much time for me to walk over from my office, which is located at Broadway and Taylor.  Whatever day Gus and Meg can do is fine with me.  Of course, if they prefer Marathon, I can do that too - I don't mind dive bars one bit.
