I watched a couple episodes of the show and it was just a bunch of car pr0n. If you're going to fap to something, at least it should be women (or whichever of the major genders you prefer).

major genders? Does that make playing in the major leagues mean something completely different now? I don't think I want to know what could be minors.  :o

Started watching La Portraite de Petite Cossette last night. Great animation, and an interesting story line. And it is not impossible to understand, even though it is in the psychological thriller genre.

Was watching an 80s anime I forget the whole name, something Orange Road-Movie. Sorry, but I guess I have seen too many college entrance exam time slice of life stuff lately to want to watch more of it. Too serious for what I need right now I think. It is a well done anime, but I kept wondering if Urasei Yatsura had a large influence as one of the female lead roles kept calling her hoped for boyfriend "Dahling" I don't think it was taken from Eva Gabor and Green Acres as U.Y. was contemporary to this film.

I finished Portait of Little Cossette last night. WOW! What a great set of plot twists at the end! I love it when they work as well as the do in this mini-series! It turned this form being a slightly above average anime, to well above average. The more I watched, the more I liked. And I dunno, gee it ended. Unlike some anime, or other TV shows we could name. There was a definite end to this.

I started Blue Gender last night. I only got through the first two episodes before I decided it had to be bedtime. But I could tell, right from the very beginning that this is one of the better made anime. Lots of attention to detail. But, I kind of wonder about attention to detail in the story. There was an explanation of why, but it was a no- explanation explanation. Yes, I even went back and forth trying to see if I just fell asleep there, and nope, that didn't tell me anymore than the first time.

But really, the only problem for me is that it seems somewhat dated. The animation, and the kind of story it is, just are not real fresh to me. Hmmm, something doesn't jibe right here. I'm reading Shakespeare for class! Fresh, gimme, give you a break. So when does Godzilla pop-up anyway?

Watching:

Kyouran Kazoku Nikki - eh I don't dig it much. It's Pani-poni dash trainwrecked with Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu
Kure-nai - Aishiteruze Baby meets project arms with a hint of Speedgrapher, jury is still out on this one: needs more than 3 ep test.

Also watching KimiNozo, slow to get going but a nice show overall. It's surprising how normal they can make a storyline based off a H-game.

Kiminozo was amazing. I kind of wish they would have went a different way with the ending..but I guess that's what the OVA is for ;)

I watched all of the first season of Code Geass last week...it was really addicting. Downloading all the episodes of R2 that are out right now and I'll probably watch them when I get back from Fanime. Air Gear is after that.

Currently about to go pick a Ghibli movie to watch. Probably Laputa. <3 that movie

I saw Laputa years ago at Cinema 21. It was too sad for me. Made me wonder if all Japanese films were going to end so depressingly.

Watching Naruto Uncut Box Set 7. Gawd, I'm a Narutard, I really like this show. o-lol.

Umm, Netflix should be having Rozen Maiden in my mailbox tonight. Disc 1 that is, I have had disc 2 for like 2 weeks now, but have not watched it. I tend not to watch shows if I see them out of order, unless they are so good, I have to watch them. This  would be one way for me to decide on which shows to actually buy. maybe...

I just finished watching Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann (love it to little bits and pieces, now I wanna go back and watch it again)... And I'm rather surprised that it doesn't have more fanfiction simply because of Viral. Viral is so amazingly psychotic that he's worth it. Eh, It'll get big once it comes out in America.

But now I'm watching the second Death Note movie.

Maybe it's just me, but Rozen Maiden left me flat.

I saw Speed Racer over the weekend. Didn't bring back too many memories from watching it on KPTV 12 as a youn'un. But I had fun, and I felt the love the Wachowski brothers have for Speed Racer, watching the movie. I don't know if it will be a spin-off, but I felt certain that there was a character in the film that could be a Lupin III in the wings. Not sure, just felt it.

I saw the live-action film Onmyoji last night. Cool! Felt weird how sometimes it matched scenarios with the anime Shonen Onmyoji at times.

I started Elemental Gelade last night. Made me wish I wasn't so tired when I stopped for the night. I was really having a good time with this title. I find it interesting how we have a character who is basically a lovable blowhard, yet know his own flaws, and feels like maybe he should do something about them, at the start of the series! Usually I seem to find these types figuring that out in the middle or later of a series, and they never get very far, or they change so dramatically, or they move forward and then fall back, and never actually get anywhere as far as "growth" is concerned. Am looking forward to more tonight, if I ever get out of here!

Gotta love the overtime!
ugh

I just got Burst Angel. And while the animation is very good, even the computer animated giant robots, while a bit too perfect, you know what I mean? they are blended in with the more traditional look of animation, so they do not overpower the look. Story is so-so, so far. I am enjoying Elemental Gelade more. But I have watched much worse.

I just started watching Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion and it is really good.  It reminds me of the good old days of Gundam Wing, except with more crazy eyes and less Death Scythes.

I have been watching that for a couple years now. I really like it, it is very very weird (and gets pretty dark, shockingly), but I have not been able to watch the whole thing because I only recently found out there was more than one disc of it. I only have Volume One, so I need the rest.

Oh, and I have been watching Season One of Oliver's Twist. Yay, Jamie Oliver! and food!

xXxHolic. Man, this is good. I really like the characters. Well, I don't necessarily mean I would like to be their best friend, maybe Yuko, nudge, wink, say no more. I like the animation a lot, it is not uber high tech, but it not sloppy either. It is a very different look for Productoin I.G. Nice to know they can do more traditional styles too.

I tried to watch the sci-fi flick Sunshine, but could not get past the first 15 minutes, and that was well past my limit. Anyone who knows a bit about science, and about long term voyages would find this to be beyond credibility. I think I have a lot of this stuff to have to deal with coming up from my Netflix queue.

Does Ghost Hound count? I meant to finish it off a long time ago, but I just gave it up after I finished Speed Grapher. It was a bit too paranormal for me with all of the "turning into black babies" when they had out-of-body experiences. :/ But when you start a series, you should finish it. Unless it's burning your eyes.
