Finished watching Speed Grapher with Kahlan yesterday. That....that is an amazing show. It's a killer with its ability to build emotions and lead you exactly where it wants you, and then 180 everything. Very emotional, very passionate, and beautiful with its character development. The concept also, I thought, was awesomely unique and fresh in its originality. Euphorics? What a great idea, lol  ;D

I give it five "Ah, Ah"'s out five. ^^_^^

Watched: Hellsing Ultimate 3 & 4, Naruto: Crescent Mooned, something like that, eh?, through the first two discs of Code Geass, that one is better than I thought it was going to be, and started watching Pumpkin Scissors #6 today. I know I watched some things that I didn't put down, here, only because they were so unmemorable I forgot them. oops.

I bought Naruto uncut DVD box set 14 today, and Sky Crawlers yesterday. Here's hoping. I hope they don't make me wish I had bought Moribito instead. I didn't see any Gurren Laggan at the store today, bummer. I was hoping to pick up #2 today. Oh well, I have something I'll need for July.

I hope to continue watching it.
If you know where I could get the uncut box sets, please tell me?

Watching Naruto UNCUT box set #14. I like these "filler" stories, no matter what anyone else says. I think they're keeping things ninja.

Say, would anyone know why the subtitles had a character's name as Sumaru, instead of what I thought I heard as Subaru? Is it copyright infringement, or fear thereof? They did mention in the show that he was named for the Pleiades, which in Japanese is Subaru. So why not write what is spoken?

Wow, Gurren Laggan has uncut box sets? I did not know. BUt then when I went looking for just disc two, they were out of any G.L.

Watched Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete this evening. The hype is worth it! IS there even a hype over this? There should be! It is jaw-droppingly amazing. I thought the original cut was fantastic, but this! This! This must be seen! It's awesome. I loves it.

Stanley Cup Finals! GO Red Wings!

Also watching the new Negima. I like it, but the amount of cultural references are mind-numbing as I can't read Japanese, and I don't think I watch enough anime, and other Japanese TV shows to know what they mean. Well, good thing for the DVD extras, eh?

Going to watch Sky Crawlers tonight. I can't remember where I saw the trailer for this. But I saw one somewhere. WWII dog fights look cool.

About Sky Crawlers, now that I watched it. It was good. I think they did an excellent job of using computers in the animation. I think it helped make the dog fight scenes much more plausible and accurate.

But I have this question that nags me. I can't tell if this was supposed to be Earth, or some dreary future, or some other planet entirely. Because they have mixed the capabilities of science and technology, so that high and low are woven together. There are things in this film that we cannot do today, with stuff that was state of the art in WWII.

I think maybe I should watch Patlabor again to get my happy back.

Devil May Cry, Gran Torino, Charlie Bartlett, New in Town, Kenichi, the World's Mightiest Disciple, and I don't know if there was something that I just plain forgot about. I don't get to get on here often enough anymore to keep my-self updated.

I like Kenichi the best, second Charlie Bartlett, but maybe Gran Torino will stay with me longer.

If Kenichi were a novel, it would be classed as a "bildungsroman", a story of building up. What differentiates this anime from others where someone gets stronger, we know exactly what went on to give Kenichi his new strength. He doesn't show up with awesome powers. He works for them. I also like how his purpose, while not exactly changing, it evolves, as he learns more about life and himself.

Tonight, I think I have Blue Earth SOS on deck. If I got the name right.

I started watching When They Cry last night. WHoa! I don't know how to describe it without spoiling it. This anime really had me in it's grips! I mean I had the whole 2 hours of disc one watched before I knew what was happening. I'd love to talk about it more. But...see it if you haven't yet.

I finished Ouran a few nights ago... I'M SO SAD! I'm going to miss those flirtatious bastards. Then again I can always re-watch them, but still. NO NEW EPISODES!

I started watching Code Geass, and going all hyper drive on Da Capo because it was 12:30 when I finished Ouran, and I wasn't wabout to go to sleep. So I watched Code Geass and Da Capo. I'm probably going to continue going hyper drive on them.

That is my past, present, and even a little future, of my anime watching spaz

It took me two weeks to sort through Death Note. It would be good, then moderate, then pretty good, then I started seeing too many flaws in the logic, then I wouldn't care, and then it was like someone ran out of ideas, and we start all over again. Not in the Masterpiece category for me, sorry.

Currently watching World of Narue, interrupted by Afro Samurai Ressurected, and something else I haven't started yet. Narue is kind of cool, for the my girlfriend is an alien genre. I can't say if it has staying power, it shows signs of serious weakness, every episode gets a new girl that is more a distraction than an advancement of the plot, or story.

I got to go to anime Friday last weekend. Saw a lot of good shows. Saw some that would only interest your average 8-12 year old boy. One made me think of Story of Saiunkoku, as told by an 8-12 year old boy. lol. It had much the same animation style as Berserk.

Of the good ones, I can't remember the names as a string of Japanese words does not make an easy to remember sentence to me.

I guess I'd watch them all, as I can't say I hated any one of them.

I saw I <3 Huckabees. That was different. Not a bad film, but not a great film. Wierd to see Dustin Hoffman and Lily Tomlin in a Fox Searchlight film, instead of a more mainstream movie, but it was appropriate. Jude Law gave a fine performance. BUt then any Brit who can talk like an American for a whole film deserves merit.
Have Fun
