Anyone know what day the AMV Contest is? My sister's getting married on the 5th, so it's been itching at the back of my head as to whether or not I'll be able to make it.

In the Help/Suggestions/Comments forum under the "my first con" post Raiden posted a whole list of whats going on Saturday and Sunday night.  Apparently the cosplay contest is scheduled for 6-8pm Sunday night. He also listed when the karaoke contest, dance, open mic, sailor moon pj party, dating game, video rooms, RPG's, and other stuff is suppose to be.

Looking at the schedule for Saturday and Sunday, would it be safe to assume the contest is on Friday since I didn't see it on the schedule?

Hee hee  :oops:  I thought you meant the Cosplay contest for some reason. I dont know when the AMV contest is, but I am thinking later after noon either Saturday or Sunday. I dont know for sure. You could always pm Raiden and ask, since he/she/it (I am not sure) seems to have the schedules.

I hope it's not on Friday! Since the con doesn't start till Sat. Sept 4-6 is Sat, Sun, and Mon. Labor Day weekend.

Greetings:

Unless things CHANGE over the next 3 weeks (like that -never- happens, right?) the staff meeting is looking at MONDAY AFTERNOON for the AMV contest.

So it seems I will run the contest, then show a couple hours of mixed AMV's (and possibly one suprise "Jackass"-type project ... ) and then that will butt us right up against Closing Ceremonies, where we will make the anouncements.

Or so seems the latest plan ...

Yeah, I saw the AMV show scheduled for Monday afternoon, it was the thing in the big room before the closing ceremonies. That's one of the things I HAVE to be at, I told Tammy the volunteer rangler as much.
