Do you mean the zine symposium?  If so, you're in luck! One of my friends organizes it.

i surfed around, and i think this might be it...

there's not a lot of information, but it's sort of soon? (Feb 18)
it seems more american-comic oriented, but i think the popularity of japanese manga might have it's mark there. i think it's worth a look. ^__^

I've been to a couple of these, usually the comic book shows are more like one giant vendors hall as opposed to a convention. They will occasionally have authors and artists there to sign stuff and chat but not events.

If they've changed then it sounds like something we should definitely get the street team on!

yeah, it says anime on the site...

I don't know why, but it somewhat pisses me off how they list it as 'anime and pokemon merchandise,' THEN put the comma... Yeah, pointless rant ^^''

hm... I wish there was more info on that on the site...

I'm all out of Street Team merchandise. There's only a couple fliers left and NO posters. I did go make copies of the Street team packet so that I could leave them with businesses but it won't do me any good without the other pieces.

I was actually going to go and post this on the Street Team thread soon since running out of posters and fliers seems to be a problem.

I've been to the portland comic con before :]
It's actually pretty cool. There is a lot of anime, and a lot of cosplaying.
It's a good excuse to dress up for sure. I think there should be a Kumoricon booth there, but I guess it's not happening. xD
I think it was in may last year, I don't remember too well, but I found out about it in the oregonian because I spotted a picture of Ed and Al from FMA. >_>
