Yay! I remember you, so this year I'll be having a serious eye out for you. (Though Barret and Sephiroth still don't have all that much reason to be posing together.....who cares!? lol)

Cool, cool. There is definitely going to be a Final Fantasy photoshoot. Time is yet to be determined, but there will be one. And you can always get extensions put in for the ponytail part.

Well, you may be in luck because I am pretty sure I read that they are at the same time because they are also in the same place. In an attempt to consolidate resources, I think Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy were joined as one photoshoot, or one location anyway.

No... That is very bad for me... Because my Kingdom Hearts cosplay is Halloween Town Sora and my Final Fantasy cosplay is Reno... And there is no way I am going to be able to change in time to do both! So I have to choose... Not fun...
I'll probably end up doing KH because there are going to be a billion and 1 Renos running around.

Photoshoot costs nothing, it is just fellow cosplayers hanging out together. And I am pretty sure it will be across the street from the Hilton in the park.

And kirara: sorry to hear of your dilemma. Yeah, there probably will be quite a few Renos, but yeah, still a tough choice. At least you have the whole weekend to wear both. ^_^

Ah, well, yeah. You may want to read this thread, it lists all the photoshoot times. http://www.kumoricon.org/forums/index.php?topic=4765.0

Just for clarification, this photoshoot we are talking about on Sunday at 10 is the Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts photoshoot. But there will be photoshoots for different games and anime all throughout the weekend. They are listed (tentatively) in that thread. And welcome to the Con! ^_^

Lol I JUST looked at that thread.
Sounds good.
I'm going with a bunch of friends, who all decided we should go to an Anime Convention.
I've been wanting to go, and this is the first year I have money and a car!
But I have a feeling I won't stay glued to my friends.
Is that a bad thing? XD

It's all good, thanks though. I'll at least get to see everyone's cosplays if they're in the same area, and that's one of the best parts, so I'll be fine. Besides I at least have the option of going.

Yeah, have fun and just enjoy yourself. ^_^

And to Sayda: No, that is not a bad thing if you and your friends go separate ways during the con, that tends to happen. With so much going on, it would be too much to expect all of your friends to want to do all the same things for the whole weekend. Part of the con is branching out and meeting new people. Nothing wrong with that, heh. I am going with a big group too, but I personally always look forward to meeting loads of new people. It's one of the best aspects of Kumoricon, I'd say.

Good cause uh, I don't really wanna stay with them the entire time anyway.
I know a few of them might cling to me, but they're easy to ditch if I find something completely uninteresting to them. =]
Haha they're fun, though.
But I'd rather meet new people than hover with the group I came with.

Yup, saaaame here. That's why it is so great that there is so much constantly going on at Kumoricon, always somewhere to ditch somebody, haha just kidding, but really.....there's some good stuff to be done.

**edit** Got people confused again. Apologies, lol

I might be overwhealmed.
I get like that when I get a paycheck, and go to a bookstore.
I feel so pressured to buy everything!
Yeah, I'm goin' as Kadaj. =]
Idk about his souba, though.
According to the rules, NO steel, no matter how dulled it is.
And I haven't been able to find a plastic/wood replica of it yet. XD

Yeah, well, if you want to do it, I think swords are allowed if they remain sheathed the whole time. Like, you could bring whatever sword you find of his, and they would just peacebond it to the sheath so you can't pull it out during the con. That's always a possibility unless they changed the policy this year.

And I know what you mean about spending. I am hoping to have at least two hundred dollars for spending. I don't plan to spend that much, but I would like to have it available just in case, heh.

Hmm, well from what I read there's nothing allowed.
But I wanted to buy one and bring it just in case.
I found a cheap one on Amazon. XD

So far, I am in debt to my mother.
She bought the costume, in which yesterday I just payed her back for.
Plus the car that she bought me. (Which sucks I gotta pay for it. XD)
I might end up getting her to buy the sword.
Hopefully she'll let me keep this next entire paycheck and take it to the con with me.
(I end up with about 30$ each paycheck, while she gets the rest.)

Psst! Do you guys remember talk of the dating booth? (AKA, the tram in Gold Saucer from FFVII.)

It's official--my cosplay group is constructing it for Kumoricon. With luck, we'll be able to take it to other cons, too. We just bought half the supplies today and started taking measurements for purchasing the rest, and are scheduling times to get together and build the thing.
We'll make it available for cosplayers to take "date photos" in it and all. We're also thinking of trying to get a panel room one of the days for it, to publicize it and whatnot, but we'll see how that goes. (We know nothing of panel-coordination.)

Thought I'd let you guys know!
Take care!

OMG you're going to have the booth!!!?
*dies*

Have you guys talked to hellsap or gemineye42? they're the gaming staff and you could probably put it up in the hall next to Gaming if they let you, they wanted to have backdrops over there for VG cosplayers anyway.

I so want to get a picture with my vallie in the tram!

Also, I think we need to get a picture of Cloud and Sephiroth on a date. *giggles madly*

We haven't talked to anyone in gaming; this is actually the first announcement we've made confirming that we'll be building the thing--up until now, we were unsure if we'd have the time to do it, but here we are!

EveofAbyss, our group is actually Turk Coffee. The Battle You Never Saw was done by the Anime Hunters, a couple members of which we're friends with, but we're not the same group. :3 Our skit from Sakura Con (the only place we've performed all together before) was called Killing Time.

I love you too, chibiroth! XD

We WERE planning a skit for Kumori--had a script written and even began recording dialogue, but unfortunatly, it's become impossible for us to put one together. Too many of our members have been too crazily busy this summer, and things keep coming up that have gotten in our way for rehersal. We'll be around the con though, and it'll be hard to miss us.

We're making an insane amount of goody bags that our group's Reno and one Rufus are assembling as we speak, so come find us. <3

I have a biiiig problem. .__.;
I tried out the hair dye spray thing for the silver effect.
AND IT DIDN'T WORK.
Craaaap.
I bought three bottles of that, too. D:
Anyone have ANY suggestions on what to do?
My mom's a professional hair dresser, and she says that getting the silver effect for an ACTUAL dye, would be difficult.
If it comes to that, though, I'd do it. XD
I mean I can't go to the con with brown hair in a Kadaj outfit! >o<

To EveofAbyss - I sprayed a lot onto a few strands, and eventually it turned sorta brownish silver. It stuck--to my hair and everything else. XD

To Mr_Mustash - I might end up trying that. The only problem though is that I don't want to make sure it works and end up with no more spray before the con. But I ALSO want to make sure I'm prepared.

My mom suggested more, and then actual silver spray paint. Or buying a white spray on dye, then going over it with silver. I don't have the money or the gas to get all that, though. -_-
