So, I want to know who plans to go see this film. Midnight showing, anyone? I'm going to the Bridgeport Theater, I believe, so maybe I'll see some of you there!

Thanks for that alert there Eve. But I don't think I'll be able to drive up from Eugene to Bridgeport by midnight. Not after getting off work at 11pm. But I checked and they have 5 showings at midnight at the Cinemark in Springfield.

I see how Spider-Man 3 is breaking all box office records across the globe. I think it is called front-loading. It is in other businesses anyway.

But, if the movie is good, I would like to see it at the IMAX, perhpas before the 7:15 anime at the Film Center Saturday.
Have Fun

Well, I'm kinda sad now.  The girl I was going with isn't going to be able to see on opening day.

Instead, she & I, & her friend that I have started to befriend as well, will see it on Monday night at the Cinetopia in Vancouver.  This theater will make it worth waiting a few more days.

Ah, well, hope that works out for you. The wait is worth it, man....the movie slays.

And I can say that even though I was vomitorally ill the whole while I was watching it! (What a time to get sick, eh?)

Totally, that's how good the movie was, I'd say. (Oh, and I wasn't actually "sick" in the theater, I at least was able to wait until it was over, heh)

Sucks, though, because this isn't the first time it has happened. A couple months ago, I went to a concert I had been waiting for for months, and I was fine, but I get to the show and......well, you know the rest. Stomachs were emptied, lol

Yeah, probably.

I'm thinking it may be because I saw Spider-man 3 on the Bridgeport Imax screen, and was sitting in like, the fourth row from the front. It turns out that screen is not good for fast movements and being that close. I was feeling pretty dizzy right when the movie started, just because I was so close, I'm thinking.

Imax is no good in my book.....I mean, it's alright, but it is pretty unnecessary for most films, I'd say. But then again, I say that about HDTV and Blu-ray too, lol

they even made gestures... I hope it isn't as sucky as they said it was T^T

Psh, it's dramatic, but I wouldn't lump that in with "emo". Aside from a hairstyle change (which looks sweet, if you ask me), not really anything at all I would call emo. I think the movie is well balanced.

It was an awesome movie. The special effects were top notch. They did venom perfectly, and they did a very good job at developing the green goblin. Spidey did go to emo though, but it was hilarious and not a bad thing about the movie. My friends and I were busting up through the whole "emo" scene. If you're familiar with the comic you're going to hate the story though. They **** it up so badly. Think of it like throwing a work of art into a blender. There is no way they can salvage the story to make a decent 4th now.

Besides the chopped up story, it was a great movie. If you're a fan of the comic you'll have problems with this movie, but if you're just a joe off the street who thinks spiderman looks like a decent movie, you'll be blown away.

Well, I highly doubt they will be aiming for a fourth. I'm pretty sure they meant to end the story with this one, as I heard Tobey Maquire say he didn't want to do any more Soider-man films. Just a thought, though.

it pretty much rocked my face off o.O much drama, some hilarity, and awesome fight scenes. venom was sweet, as was the sandman. the part that was terrible was when spider man was swinging in somewhere, i can't remember which part, near the end i think, and happened to swing infront of an american flag... oh that was pretty bad... but the movie was great, and i liked his hair >.O looked a tad emo-ish, but hey, it's ok cause he's spider man... lol

i think it's good at just 3 movies, 4 might be a little too much, trilogies are good

Saw it after work Thursday night. Some girl after the movie was yelling how the movie "Blew Chunks!" I think she had been waiting all day to say that.

I still wonder when we are going to see the Lizard, or if ever. And a whole lot of other what if's.

So glad this franchise hasn't done what Superman, Batman had done. It is still Spider-Man to me. I think that is why that girl was so into blowing chunks about it. It is Spider-Man, not something else.

Yeah, I'm not sure about any more movies. I do like that the filmmakers put a lot of comic book, background and plot references into the films, without really emphasizing them. Subtle little nods to those who read the comic books and grew up with them. Like including Dr. Conner's, showing he only had one arm, but not making anything more of it. I really like those types of subtleties.

You know, I am also kind of glad that Gwen Stacy is alive. I just hope that doesn't mean she will get thrown off the Brooklyn bridge in a future movie. I rather don't think that will happen, as MJ almost went down from there in the first movie.

^ He is the greeter at the restaurant that PEter goes to, you'll know him when you see him, because (mostl ikely) the crowd will erupt in laughter and clapping.

And emo...*sigh*...emo is a subgenre or subculture if you will that somewhat sprouted out of the Indy music scene, and also the Hardcore music scene. These tow styles clashed in the past few years, with bands like My Chemical Romance, Hawthorne Heights, Coheed and Cambria, and Panic! at the Disco. The genres blended and put out a particular look (i.e. "the reverse mullet" - short tufts of spiked hair in the back, long, usually dyed bangs in the front, generally covering one eye, requiring the ever-mocked hair toss every few seconds; also eyeliner, general effeminate traits in the forms of cosmetics). And the title comes from the ever-present obsession and constant issue of past loves lost and various emotional issues, obsessed over to a ridiculous and unhealthy extent. Thus why emo is NEVER used as a positive term, not in my book.

Hope that helped, Washougal, heh

So, when something is "emo," it has to do with a sertain style of music, hair, or something related to a dried up romance?

Sounds about right. Short for emotional, used to denote moping and whining.

This is Campbell's third appearance. He's in each movie.

1- the announcer at the cage match who changes "the human spider" into the Amazing Spider-Man.

2- The usher who refuses tolet Peter in once MJ's play has started.

3- The Maitre'Di at the Constellations restaurant where Peter goes to have a fancy dinner with MJ.

I may like #2 more as a movie, but this one had the best Bruce Campbell cameo.
