You know when you wear a ring for a long time and then you stop wearing it and it feels like you're still wearing it? That's called muscle memory. Your muscles are still adjusting to not having constant pressure on them so they try to simulate the feeling until they adapt to not having the ring. It takes about two weeks for this to go away.

Another thing about the Platypus. When it goes underwater it closes its ears, eyes, and nostrils and senses its prey (they eat small animals sometimes) through electrolocation, which menas that the Platypus can sense electrical impulses from muscle contractions.
