TomtheFanboy's scope picture got me thinking - "waaaait, no way"
... and I THOUGHT it would HAVE to be photoshopped.
Can you REALLY see a person's EYE through the other end of a rifle scope?!?
Would the image of the eye be enlarged, even though the scope usually works like a telescope?
(which, if you look in from the wrong end, makes everything look WEIRD and TEENY.)
And what about the sighting stuff inside the scope: crosshairs, an aiming post, mil-dots, etc ... ?
So I had my sweetie draw up her rifle and I looked and YES you CAN DO this!
First, you have to find SOME way to illuminate the eye and the skin around the eye though, because the scope shields light from the shooters eye. (This is usually a good thing, so you can see the sighting stuff inside the scope clearly.)
Also, I DID notice that an image of the sighting stuff DOES appear, but it shows up way off to the side of the image of the eye in the scope.
Weird cool stuff there, TtFB!
OK but I gotta add the obligatory 'mine's bigger than yours' image;
Sorry, but THIS toy is a just a BARREL of FUN to shoot:
