Just incase you didn't know.

Anyone have any over 9000 stories?

Best I've seen is a guy online named "9,001". No one understood why he named himself that until someone pointed at the screen and yelled "It's over 9000!!".

There was much headshaking...

The only "Over 9000!!!" story I have comes from SakuraCon.

The 401s (if I remember their name correctly) was doing "Scenes from a Hat" and the card said something like "Unlikely scenes in InuYasha."

A: "How many jewel shards are there?"
B: "OVER 9000!!!!!!!!!"

It's a reference to one of the stupider things about Dragonball Z.

Every battle someone gets stupendously more powerful, and it leaves everyone astonished, which is used to dramatic effect and to draw out the number of episodes it takes before any actual fighting happens. The battle happens and someone loses, and a new, even more powerful character eventually appears. Rinse and repeat.

"His power level is over 9000!" (note the conspicuously absent unit that provides any meaning)
