Are there going to be any pirates at Kumori-Con 2007?

Why?

Myself and two friends are dressing as pirates for one of the days and want to know who else will be there dressed as pirates.

Why?

So we can take on the ninjas of course! It's not a convention unless you have a Pirate vs Ninja war!

Maybe Toni Levi could come up with a Pirates vs. Ninja's Panel the way she did for Cowboys vs. Samurai! I never got to see that one

I of course went -twice- to End of the World in Pirate cosplay (once in Denver with my SC roommate & once locally) & also wear garb to sanctioned and non-sanctioned SCA-related events.

Wasn't planning on it for KC, but tell me more details & if I can find the time I'd love to be persuaded.
However, the blades I have for roleplay have live steel so I don't think I can bring them even if peacebonded?

yes, there's going to be one of my friends dressing up as a pirate. hes the guy who had the chest full of tootsie rolls last year. this year...*i think* he's comming up with some more prizes.
however, hes doing a jobcore thing tho..
but he is planning on being there
but his budget is really low...so... i dunno how good it's going to be >.>

I will be Kaku from One Piece, who is technically an Assassin, but also a ship builder. My friends will be Franky and Vivi from One Piece who are actual pirates. We'll be in costume Monday, if you wanna' take pics, though we won't look like traditional pirates. : P

well, since one of the games is going to involve pirates vs. ninjas (or..well, anyone can play, and they may even change the name, whatever) i'm sure pirates will be more than welcome!

We're not looking for Anime-Pirate cosplayers, but simply people dressed as Pirates! But, I'll have to remember to bring my Pirate garb for a equalling out the ninjas on Monday!

I am so slammed for stuff KC right now @.@ Scheduling sucks.

OK you scallywags, I'm puting tyou all in under the One Piece photoshoot, all pirates welcome. Dress as Pirates on MONDAY, got it?

Well if you'd like to gather a seperate photoshoot that's fine but you were dressing as pirates on Monday already and most One Piece characters are already pirates so they should go to your photoshoot as it is.

Think of it as the One Piece characters being invited to your photoshoot instead of you being invited to the OP photoshoot.

I can of course make changes if we have more objections.

out of curriousity who did win was it the pirates or the ninjas..... I so do hope that it was the pirates. Also thanks to all you ninjas that I fought you put up one heck of a good fight.

My friends and I where so tired on Monday, we didn't have the energy to get into full Pirate costume. We settled for wearing our random con shirts. And I don't think the Pirates shall be returning to a convention anytime soon. But, you can alway catch us at RenFaire or SeaFair.

They will be back, as asured as one peice is anime. There will always be at least one pirate. Next time things will be different.

Just be ready to take up arms again, and represent. Once a pirate always a pirate at heart.
