Er, not quite... the container should spray NOTHING -- use a sound effect of spraying but have an empty container on stage (no one is going to be able to see the water anyway)
Per the rules:
* No fire, flame, smoke, fog, dry ice, wind machines, lasers,
pressurized gases or liquids * No messy substances –
wet, dry, or oily – in the green room or on stage.
The point of prohibiting wet stuff (and the other things) is so we don't make the stage slippery / dangerous for other contestants. Any water dripping onto stage could become a slipping hazard and some other cosplayer could slip, fall, and be hurt badly. Another reason is that the overspray may eventually ruin the costume of the next person who goes on stage (which is unfair to that contestant). The final reason for prohibiting it is because the hotel can get mad at us or charge us extra if we spill stuff on the stage...
