I'm not denying the "hilarity" of it to others, Im just telling you some people (like myself) dont find it funny is all. I cannot stop you, nor do I want to stop you from doing what you want by all means, but perhaps think about what you're doing before you offend or disturb anyone.

I don't see anything wrong with Running Bear. But if I spot a giant bear hitting on an underage girl, and/or doing anything inappropriate, that bear will be a rug in no time flat.

It would be funny to those of us who actually understand the joke, but to someone's parent who is escorting their child to the con, it would seem like a disgusting act and could be potentially damning to her feelings towards Kumoricon. That could also effect public relations between hotels and Kumoricon.

Think about others before you do something that could effect them.

Well, I'd lol.  Besides, those who don't frequent 4chan would not recognize the character anyway, so really only those in the know would get it.  And if one reads 4chan, one can be assumed to enjoy the humor there.  I'd say you're good to go.

And one more thing:  I'd like to point out that the character of Pedobear is meant to make fun of Otaku themselves, a sizable contingent of whom have a rather questionable fascination with young female characters in anime and manga.  Pedobear is not an endorsement of sexual abuse, rather, it is a snark at Otaku culture.
