A Woman Came up to Me and Said. . .
« on: September 08, 2007, 10:37:30 pm »
"I'd like to poison your mind.  With wrong ideas that appeal to you, although I'm not unkind."  She looked at me, and I looked at something written across he scalp.  These are the words that it faintly said as I tried to call for help:
There's only one thing that I know how to do well, and I've often been told that you can only do what you know how to do well, and that's be you.  Be what you're like.  Be like yourself.  And so, I'm having a wonderful time but I'd rather be whistling in the dark.

Yeah, I'm bored.  g'ingb2/ddrfreak/.

Why is the world in love again?
Why are marching hand in hand?
Why are the ocean levels rising up?
It's a brand new record, for 1990,
They Might Be Giants' brand new album,
FLOOD!!!

Holy god, has it really been that long?  That record's older that most of you kids on this forum!

I'm going to TMBG concert tonight!

My fav line: "No one in the world ever gets what they want and that is beautiful. Everyone dies frustrated and sad and that is beautiful." (I use to have this written on my car... my Mink Car)

Another good line: "Turning to drugs to help you sleep will only lead to sleep. And sleeping is a gateway drug to being awake."

I'm in ceramics this year.  If I have some spare time in there, I'll make a novelty toothed shoehorn and bring it with me everywhere.

So y'all seen Gigantic, the Tale of Two Johns?  It's a terrific documentary about TMBG.  It's full of interviews with celebrity (at least geek celebrities) talking about why the love them.  We get to see Ira Glass, and he looks just like you'd think he'd look!

Also, I was in middle school when Flood was released!
