I at least know my friends and I are doing older school stuff. We're doing a Ranma 1/2 and Urusei Yatsura group at Sakura Con. I'd really love to get them to do a Mermaid Forest group, but nobody but me seems even aware of that series. Which is a shame, because the manga contains some of her best work, in my opinion. (Unless you're reading Fire Tripper or Laughing Target, which are both fantastic and proof that Takahashi can tell an awesome story in a couple chapters or less. Maison Ikkoku would probably be next after Mermaid, from her long-running series.) I'm still doing Rin from Mermaid, regardless of whether I have a group or not. She's just too awesome of a character. I hope I can at least get a Yuta...
I've promised myself that I will do a better version of Sango sometime within 2008, simply for the sake of doing a kick-butt version of her. My new wig is all styled and pretty, now all I have to do is make the costume. Leaning towards demon-slayer, since I have the fabric and base boots for it anyway. But I have no clue when I'd wear it. There's just not enough time at cons.
I'm playing around with the idea of Sister Angela from One-Pound Gospel as well. Because how cool would that be? But once again, no time during 2008, probably.
