@ Ren+Pocky: Ah, nuu! Don't shave an innocent bystander's head! Just find a sleeping bald dude and doodle on him with blue magic marker! Bald heads make the best canvases, after all! But yeah, there should be more Avatar cosplayers. There was a Kyoshi Warrior at K-con '07, but it was so hot she had to change out of her costume.

@ Black~Rose: Eh, my mother would never let me wear Tifa's original costume out of the house. My dad wouldn't, either. Good to see another Lucrecia though. I still need to get a better pair of shoes and my labcoat. You gonna be 'Normal' Lucrecia of 'Stuck in the pillar of Materia' Lucrecia? The second one's so pretty that I may have to make it.

'normal' though my labcoat kinda sucks but oh well dad got it for 5 bucks at the hospital. and yes she is pretty stuck in the pillar. I should be travleing with Hojo too lol. the only reason I want to be lucrecia is 'cause I'm OBSESSED with Vincent

other than that and the fact that she is pretty, I dont like her all that much. She made some REALLY bad choices.

... Well, I suppose there's Hojo to mess everything up. But then Hojo would have nothing to mess up in the first place...

im going as Uriel from "Angel Sancuary" and i might come back as Orochimaru. the only problem with Uriels costume is his HUGE wings! i want them to move but we'll just have to see how they turn out.

Last time I cosplayed as Yami Bakura so this time I will give that costume a rest.

I think I will cosplay as Yami Yugi from Yu-Gi-Oh! (Plan on dueling against a little Yugi during the con in front of everyone. Like they duel in the show except no holograms!) I also plan on cosplaying as Pharaoh Atem to. Was going to for Sakura Con but plans change.

Light Yagami from Death Note......

I like the idea of planning early...Last year I was going crazy a week before the con, trying to avoid that in 08 . Ive even already gotten my fabric for one costume XD;

So far Im going as a Dancer Nobody from KHII and then Demyx (KHII) and..my friends are deciding my other one, in their attempt to get me to cosplay something besides Kingdom Hearts XP
Itll either be Hakkai from Saiyuki or..I think Trowa from Gundam was what they said..but I dont know yet

I'm thinking if I come, it'll be as Kairi from KH2. I'd love to go as Tifa but it seems that others are coming as her, so I'd rather not step on toes I guess. I was thinking of Moiraine Sedai from Wheel of Time, but not enough people would automatically recognize her, being a book character and all.

If I can get into good enough shape, I'd love to come as "The Major" (Motoko) from Ghost in the Shell SAC.

So, I'm wanting to go as Link. That's right, Link. The Hero of Time. Wielder of the Master Sword. Keeper of the Tri-Force of Courage.

I found a pair of awesome brown boots that are perfect for it, some kind of imitation suede-ish kind of stuff, hard plasticy soles, they even already had the folded-over flaps and buckles at the top. I was totally psyched.

My hair's the right length, but I was looking for suggestions on coloring, cuz my hair's brown, so I was hoping for some input on lightening it to Link's sort of dirty blond. I was thinking I'd just get it professionally done to minimize risk of failure & self-blinding, but if you guys know an affordable, easy, home way to do it, I'd love input!

Hmmm... I'm deciding... I'm deciding... I'm debating whether I want to go as either:

(Pit as he appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl)

or

(Palutena as she appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl).

I'm sort of leaning towards Pit, though. I'm already trying to plan out the wings and etc. (Work will not start officially until I get my copy of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, though, since I'd like a clearer look at Pit's in-game wings) I will be completely redoing the entire costume, from the wings to the bow, fixing any and all of the flaws my 2007's costume had (stupid greaves need to be fixed; they kept falling down and sometimes coming undone while I was walking around at the convention last time). I'm also trying to work on (gasp! Dun-dun-dun!) the hairdo, which as you can see looks very complicated... My hair color's pretty close, and it's definitely long enough to be cut and stylized, but it'll still be difficult...

Now Palutena (or Parthena, as I like to call her; that name sounds so much more cooler!) on the other hand... her outfit looks totally awesome and goddess-like, and with her hair I'd probably only need hair extensions and somehow dye it a non-permanent green. On the downside, her outfit doesn't look real easy to make (but then, Pit's doesn't look any easier, either), and I don't know where or what I'm going to do about that Mirror Shield and scepter... Oh, and I think I'd probably look funny if I was walking down the hallways as the Goddess of Light of Angeland, since people would probably be coming up and asking me, "Palutena, where's Pit, your bodyguard?"

If I can find some friends, one who could dress as Pit for this year's Kumoricon, then I'll consider cosplaying as Palutena. But I dunno, I like Pit way more then Palutena, so I think I'll go as Pit again regardless of whether I can find a partner to go with or not... $:-\$
