Plushies:the ultimate defense
« on: September 09, 2007, 07:56:01 pm »
Wow.. Im starting a thread in the " I have nothing important to say' topic. I have officially crossed the point of no return.

last night I had this really scary creepy and just all around nasty nightmare.

The worst part was that no matter how many times I woke up, it wouldnt go away.
After about the fourth time I for some reason I thought " If I could just find SOMETHING..something..differant".
I was half asleep and had NO clue what that something differant would be or why it work.
All I could find was my Byakuya plushy.

I grabbed him and said " Taichou plushy,  stay with me and keep away the nightmares. " Taichou plushy was like " ...Alright.." ( Hey I was still half asleep)

Then i fell right back asleep and had no nightmares to speack of

So there ya go, instant nightmare defense. =3

when i was younger i had a bad dream and i woke up (somthing about a monster singing a song that hurt -my ears) and i went into the living room where my dad was watching tv and he gave me my stuffed pop-pull plushie and he told me it ate bad dreams and would keep them away
and when i was older i told my younger brothe rthe same thing only i used his teddy bear, never doubt the power of the plushie

incedently i had my plushies in a bag to be washed in the laundery oom and my older brother took them out with the trash, tho he didnt admit it then he did later
and there went my pop-pull and all my fav plushies
superjaz, that is jaz with one z count'um ONE z!

I once worked at a summer camp and to help the smaller ones get back to sleep after a bad dream we were told to give them a stuffed animal of some sort and tell them it had magical powers and kept the bad dreams away.

It may be all in our heads that plushies keep away nightmares, but lo and behold they do dont they? ^_~

I have a bunch of plushies.. that are kind of near my bed.. although I dunno how good any of them would be for scaring away demons and stuff like that.. >_>; Especially since one of them is a Death God. XD

I still have a couple of plushies from when I was 4 or 5, two popple plushies that I love dearly as they were a gift from my grandparents.  I also have a plushie that my better half bought me on one of our first dates 5 1/2 years ago that I keep with me every night to this day.

Aww, that's so cute!! That wouldn't work for me when I was young (when I was 4 I watched "The Puppet Master" with my dad and I couldn't sleep for months because I swore I could see my toys/plushes walking around at night).
Anakin, you're breaking my heart if you don't come to "I'd Just as Soon Kiss a Wookiee: A Star Wars Panel" at Kumoricon!

yeah i have plushie that i have had my hole life literately. my dad gave him to me while my mom was holding me just after she gave birth to me. the odd thing is i didn't know this till like 4 or 5 years ago and had gotten rid of tons of plushies before o.o (my aunt was always playing those crane games so she was always giving us kids some of the plushies she won)
