Last night was the first episode dubbed in english. I didn't get a chance to watch it because all of the TVs in the house were being used, but I heard it was good!

I think it's on Saturday Nights at Midnight, but I haven't officially confirmed that yet. Hopefully they didn't change too much stuff and left it the way it was supposed to be...

The main crit I have for them is the scriptwriter uses too many words -_-

They make ryuk talk so fasssssssst owo Which is unlike him. Like for a simple line she made him say 'I did it because I was bored' and half through that you could barely understand him o-o a simple 'because I was bored' would have worked, and would have fit his mouth movements o_o

I think they changed the voice actors from what they were in the trailer; Light sounds oddly different.... Not bad, though

I really wonder what they'll end up doing in the second season, since the opening theme saz bad wurdz :B

me and my friends had a sleepover
for the priemere of it ^^
we were really hyper but as soon as we heard the opening, we were
dead silent and concentrated on it so much ^^
it wasnt that bad ^^
i actually enjoyed Light's voice ^^

I wont watch it.
I refuse.The death gods are too ugly/stupid looking for me to stand. I know the artist was going for 'scary' but.they look like evil muppets ...and will probably gimme nightmares. *Hugs Byakuya plushy*

Also, its just seems very..unfitting. From what I understand the shinigami are actually very deep characters. When I see something like that I dont expect them to be capable of doing anything but gnawing on corpses and saying " RAWRZ! me eat soul!"

But thats my just opinion/rant. To each theyre own and all that ^_^;

I may watch it eventually to hear the English voices, but I feel that it wont be worth watching all of it again in another language. It was good enough the first time around.

It was a little better than I expected, but I'm still not fond of it. >>; Light sounds like he's hitting puberty, and Ryuk sounds way too serious. His voice isn't too bad actually, but he's just missing that humorous edge. *hopes for the best in L's case* I fear for what they'll do to Mello.

Oh! My favorite line so far:

"Death Note? ...Like a notebook... of death?" No sh*t Lighto!

A lot of dubs take awhile before the actors sound comfortable in the voices. But I gotta say, 99% of them I prefer subtitles over dubs though.

And lemme say this.. you thought the number of Death Note cosplayers was high this year?! Wow! Wait until next year!

Yah... this years photo shoot was HUGE! Next year will be like death... hopefully there will be more Host Club cosplayers so we can have a bigger tea-party!

I was so Happy, I walked in to my room and Ryuk was T.V., yay! I didn't like the voices though, they sounded kind off, but I don't care I have been waiting so long to see the english anime

True enough. I compare it to the first chapter of the manga..fairly exact, but that's no indication for sure.

I watched it. I watched the second episode this week too! It was better than i thought. The dubbing actually wasn't bad. But it was off in the beginning but it was great!!!

IT SUCKS.Ryuk and Light sound the same.The voices have no emotion.
