How exciting! I was in the normal reg line on Saturday, and my friends barely made it in to KCon at all. The cut off was about a dozen people behind us, so we were all joking that if we couldn't get into KCon we'd just have a 24 hour sidewalk line party

And she said we should do anime chess.  Either One side of the board just be Haruhi characters or if we get enough one side be the regular characters and the other side be gender benders XD  We could so do it just for fun or something.

Othello is easy.  You have four pieces on the board, two white and two black.  One person (usually black) starts by placing one of their pieces on the board.  If (we'll say their black) a white piece is in the middle of their pieces so black-white-black, they flip the white piece over so it's black.  The pieces are black on one side and white on the other for said reason.  Then the other person goes and does the same thing.  The person with the most pieces on the board at the end of the game wins.  There's no limit on how many pieces you can steal at a time, they just have to be in the middle.  America othello says that when you place a piece it has to be touching another piece but in Japanese othello they can put pieces where ever they want.  Which is probably easier for stealing the corners.

That's what I thought when I read the rules for the roleplay between Itsuki and Kyon. ^^
