*Gasp*, I too go to PSU! And I feel your pain, homework is a b!tch and choosing classes isn't exactly fun (it's more like choosing what form of torture you'd rather go through). As far as your toilet goes, try looking in the tank (if there is one), you can probably figure out what's wrong with it that way. A toilet typically isn't that complex.

I looked in the tank, and it looks like the chain from the handle unhooked from something. What that something is, I don't know. :s

Okay, so there should be this rubber stopper thing in the bottom of the tank, the chain from the handle connnects to that.

Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure we haven't met in person. I have seen you before... wait. (Does a little detective work). I KNEW I've seen you before. Unless you have a small flesh-eating monster dwelling in your toilet, then you should be just fine sticking your hand in.

There was a bigger part of the chain, but I don't know if I'd call it a hook...I tried prying it open but I didn't know where to try and hook it too. :x
The rubber stopper is big! and pink. and on top there are two raised bumps, which I suspected the hook thingie attached to, but I wasn't sure how it attached to it...

Just try attaching it however you can, then try flushing.

Don't worry, that's just water. If you were sticking your hand in the toilet bowl however, then it's a different story.

I don't know what to tell you. The chain should hook/clip on to the plastic part, somewhere between 8 and 6 o'clock (If you looked at the plug like you would a clock). Wait, here's an idea. Look at someone else's toilet on your floor. They should all be the same, so that way you can know for sure how it hooks on. (WHY THE HELL DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT BEFORE?!)

No, it's fine. I tried to help as best as I could. And there's probably more people than just your friend on your floor. Ask someone you know, or kind of know. If all else fails, just start knocking on doors (I'd probably do that). Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I am reading the new book by John Ringo and Travis Taylor, Claws That Catch. Not only is there the Lewis Carroll influence in the titles of the series, it has ANIME in it too! YES! I'm reading along, and all of a sudden they get caught in the anime zone! One guy gets winged hair and a sword, and the only woman becomes a school girl! lol Oh course she hates it, but so does everyone else.

Really though this is a hard science fiction book, even if it is space opera. I think Patrick ought to read these books if no one else here would.

I wonder if these guys are trying to get an anime series made of the books. I think at least Taylor, who has all the phds is a big Gundam fan. Or maybe Fist of the North Star, as he is into martial arts.
