I think that you're your own worst enemy and that you magnify your faults more than anyone else around you. You need to just be able to shrug things off, know you tried your best, learn from it, and roll with it.
Sometimes I get really caught up in what people might think or say about me... but then I have to remember that I'm human and I'm bound to make many mistakes along the way (and more to come, woo! \o/ ). You stepped out of your box, tried something new and, hey, that should count for something, right?

Hanna said she was the one that sparked the backup one and rallied the other random Naruto peeps. Up to now and before the convention, I never had anyone to depend on but myself. Never had anyone willing to share the load, never expected anyone to step up and catch me when I might fall. Maybe while I was trying so hard to search for a group of friends to belong to...they found me. It's funny, if I didn't go to the cosplay bowling that day, and follow you guys back from the bookstore, my skit never would have worked. Too right is the phrase "I never could have done it without you," and I don't have to anymore. TvT

Right now all I can see is open sea, but there's an island in the distance...a Halloween party to prepare for. A New Year's convention I'm paneling at, and the blueprints of skits for Sakuracon and next year's K-con, which will be better organized.
I still want to do what I can with others at meets. I've heard no complaints, but also no compliments either. But if things don't go the way I'd hope, then there's always one place I can go, one group I can turn to.

DemonSpawn Animeman73 here. My condolences on your loss. Losing people close to you hurts like nothing else. When I lost my maternal Grandmother and Grandfather it really hurt and it still hurts. If you ever want to talk about it I'll listen, you have my word on that!

That's harsh. My condolences.

A few months ago Irene and I's Aikido sensei killed himself. He was one of the happiest people we knew. He was also the father of one of our young friends.
We couldn't do much for a while...

I saw the Sakuracon TV commercial last year. It made me want to go even more, but the overall plotout of it felt simple, but a little stale. It only listed what you could find there, though it didn't risk copyright from the manga and game companies

I'm imagining the most epic convention commercial ever, for Sakuracon at least, and then one for Kumoricon.
I'm envisioning the Seattle cityscape with a Gundam cosplayer walking across it and a narrator saying, "There is a weekend in April unlike any the northwest has ever seen, except for once a year. That weekend...is Sakuracon! Anything you've ever dreamed about in Anime, Manga and Games is all there." and I'll stop there for now. But for Kumoricon, it would open up in a dramatic thunderstorm, but fearlessly walking are brave cosplayers down the streets of Portland (in ponchos and umbrellas), converging on the hotel site.

And back to insanity...I'll take YOUR potato chip...and EAT IT, then offer oreos as an ppology.
