Dubaby are you in WA? Rabu! I used to live there and hope to go back for college. I do hate the sales tax though, it means that if I want a $5 footlong I can't just give them one bill, I have to bust out the change too.

Yeah I live in Olympia.

I kinda forget about sales tax since I've lived here for so long. It's always magical though when I get a $5 foot long at K'Con and it comes out to EXACTLY $5 while I'm digging around my purse for change. lol

I used to live in Oregon when I was younger though, but that was back when I didn't buy stuff so I never noticed the whole tax thing XD

I fell in love with Seattle after my best friend moved up there this summer & I have visited a lot...was planning to move there for a while but kinda got stuck because of the economy...can't sell my house. When I go up there, I just show my Oregon ID when I purchase stuff so I don't have to pay tax...doesn't work on food though. I think I would miss Oregon though if I did...and I have a bunch of new friends down here thanks to K-con

Ladies let me tell you something I try not being anti-anything (unless of course it's morally wrong). All the other states have their good points and bad points. I've been living here in the great city of roses (Portland, Oregon) since 1978, and I couldn't think of anywhere else in the world I'd rather live. That's why I decided long ago that while I want toi travel and see the country and the world I want this city top be my home all the days of my life.

lived in hillsboro and beaverton for ... 24 years of my life. lived in CO, longmont for 3. I miss CO. I love oregon for some reasons, but I HATE the rain. and the cold. and the wet cold rain.... and the clouds covering the sun but not doing anything... and the rain...

I love the snow, I just wish more people in my area knew how to deal with it. My town also isn't properly equipped with enough snow stuff to really help when it comes down really heavy. Last Christmas time most people were pretty much snowed in for a week, we'd have to take a van at my work to try to rescue coworkers whose cars couldn't handle the ice and cars were stuck in intersections everywhere. It was crazy XD

I have always loved Oregon and swore that I would stay in this state forever...but years have passed & I started thinking a lot about the need for change. Central Oregon has been my home the majority of my life...I was even born in Bend. G/F & I talked about either moving to P-town or Seattle...we are yet to be decided on which. I have friends and family in both states so its an equally tough decision considering I love both cities. I have spent much more time in Portland than Seattle which might explain my over-excitement for Seattle....but I don't know...it is a very fun city. Looks like I have plenty of time to think about it more though considering I own a house and have already lost about $250,000 because of the value crashes. Local cosplayers are definately making it hard to want to move now though...they are too much fun

I don't mind snow for the recreational part of it...but I like to be warm too much to love it. Plus, I agree that when bad weather hits, a lot of people suddenly forget how to drive & properly prepare for it...and I hate that, especially since I got my drivers license in winter & learned to drive in snow lol.

That is way I like CO, it snowed real snow. And people new how to deal with it. And! It was still warm because unlike Oregon winter, the clouds didn't lingure! it would snow then they would leave and the sun made it seem warm even though it wasn't.

Ya I am in the same boat...can't do 3 cons, especially when all of my spare money is being invested in building a cosplay wardrobe which I severly lack at this time...only 2 full costumes at this time, & one is still missing its weapon so it's not technically complete.

Ment to say more then 3. I have Kumoricon, Mewcon, and SakuraCon, Sakuracon being the most expencive since I stay for 4 nights and at the Sheraton.

I have no full cosplays at this time. I want to do Zev at Mewcon but might end up not cosplaying at all this year for it.

blarg! I really really hate depression. and sleep. evil sleep. have to have it yet do not want it! I feel like I have so much to do and never feel like I get anythin' done. there is not enough time in the day. it's already 10:32 pm and it feels like I just got off work. ;-; I feel like I got nothing done.
