I feel like I'm betraying the side of me that is otaku and giving into the side of me that is gamer.
I'm choosing between an x box 360 and going to Sakuracon. I'm leaning toward the system because it will last longer than three days, yet the friends I find on it I can only hear and never see, and only after I get X box Live.
There's obvious benefits for going to the convention, but they seem only temporary or lined with as much chance at success as they are to fail. While the console is a guarantee amusement that can last a long time, yet isolated from the world.
Maybe getting the console will give me time to think about my reasons for going to conventions in the first place, and have a clear mind when K con rolls around. Though there's also just going up there and finding my reason.
*head desk*
I don't know which way to turn. I only have enough money available for one, and other people are depending on my answer to go to S-con or not to go.

Ah Sakuracon is around the corner and I've put myself into a position where i can pay for my hotel room, I have my pass I'll have some spending cash. -Sigh- Life is good.

That's also because most save up their money for one single convention, then explode at it with grandioso cosplays, mountains of food, a good hotel, and a large enough suitcase to carry all goodies they bought from the dealer's hall.
Or most others have enough money coming in to be able to jump on one convention and have 4 months to build up again for the next one. That is, if they run the Kumori/MEW/Sakura Con circuit.

At least that's what I presume.
