My mom had a terrible time with me moving out. What I had to say was something along the lines of, "Mom, you should feel proud of the fact that you've raised a successful daughter that wants to go to college, get a place of her own, and learn how to manage herself. I'm very grateful for everything you've done for me but what kind of daughter would I be if I didn't try to do things on my own? Besides, it's not like I'll never visit or need help from time to time. You're my
mom, Mom. you'll always be a part of my life. I just want to spread my wings and make the most of what you've given me."
Three years later and we're still having the same conversation every time I see her lol.
I love that woman.
