So, is the second season a re-telling of the first, but with several obvious differences?

No. VERY DIFFERENT.

Hey folks I'd just like to say to everyone even if we've had slight disagreements I'd like to wish everyone here on the forums a Merry Christmas and a happy new year. May all your dreams come true in the new year.

1) Megan is a hilarious person and just called me as Santa. She's crazy, but great.
2) My parents keep throat singing Christmas songs. It's slightly traumatizing.

I've survived the night of xmas with extended family. I got what I expected as presents, plus a few extras. Looking at MEW Con among other things I expected to come around and go to, I'm unsure if I'll have the money to make it. The world holds its breath as we slip through these last 6 days of the year.

Christmas sucked...
Most of my presents were replaced with crap because Im moving out.
My brother got everything off his list like every year. I got four things from mine, two of which I picked out and used my store discount on. Then I got stuff for the house and not for me... like toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap... She got me pots and I DONT cook cause she refused to teach me. Worst christmas... I got a few nice things but everything but two things I liked I knew about because I used my store discount on them.

MERRY CHRISTMAS (and yeah, I DO mean Merry Christmas! Not Happy Holidays because I CELEBRATE Christmas and I don't care if you're Jewish or some other thing that also likes to depress me by trying to correct my statements!)  YOU GUYS! LOVE YOU ALL AND HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Gryffinclaw Princess: I'm sorry you are so materialistic. I got one thing because I wanted my little sisters to have something (low on cash this year). I couldn't care less about gifts. I'd rather bake but since you're moving I suppose you don't have time for that either. :/

I am actually really offended that you are complaining. Instead of getting things that you wouldn't need in the long run, you family cared enough to get you a good deal of supplies will need since you're moving out, now that's what I call being thoughtful. So what that you "Don't" cook, just put some water in the pot and then some rice. Cooking is easy and you can teach yourself.

Sitting around watching Christmas movies with my family. I love my parents so much.
I was disappointed by not getting all the things I wanted for a while, then I realized that my family is so much more important then the material items I might receive.
I love my family.

For Pete's sake, people. It's Christmas. At least in theory, it's for appreciating the people you love and being glad you have them. Not everyone is so lucky.

Spending Christmas mad at anyone is a horrible waste, and that applies to everyone.

I got a kindle! I'm really excited because now I can bring books to school with me now and not have to worry about the extra weight. (We don't have lockers so.)

Also I've been texting the people I love who are out of town.

Good day :)

Well Im sooo sorry that I asked for a cheap car so I can go to school and work every day.
I apologise that I asked for things I not only need but can use for a long length of time.
So while my step father got a brand new thousand dollar golf club set and my brother got every new video game under the sun, I get stuck with toilet paper and paper towels. How selfish of me to ask for important things like a visit to the doctors to get birth control to help regulate my periods and decrease the immense pain I go through every month. How dare I ask for shots against cervical cancer which I am at a very high risk for. How materialistic of me to want such stupid, unnecessary things when I should be thoughtful for the little things I get.
In past years I have gotten a fireplace for my bedroom, a psp, ds system, and every stupid thing I asked for. For graduation my mom bought me a 250gb xbox360. But now that I want things that mean something...?

Maybe before you guys all lash out at me, maybe you should ASK instead of instantly assume Im a bad person. Okay, so I also wanted a PS3...my bad. Instead my mom bought me a blueray movie I cant watch because I have no means of playing it.

As for the pots... My mom got them because they are the kind my boyfriend likes. But she gave them to me because if we dont work out, she wants them to come back to her house.

So again, I appologise for how selfish and materialistic I am.

I was a little upset about Christmas too but not because of the things I got. More of the fact that my mom kept complaining to me when I would put things in boxes to wrap the boxes and to show a little pride for the presents and for the people I am giving them to and when I got up this morning two of my presents where just in boxes taped shut (they are decorated boxes but old ones) and two of my presents weren't even wrapped. So I felt like my mom didn't care enough about me to wrap my stuff. Just kinda made me feel like crud this morning. But I am over it now :3

Last year all I got for Christmas was cake mix, frosting, muffin mix and some candy. I have only gotten about $100 worth of things for the past 4 or 5 years. The last console I got was a ps2. The cervical cancer shots cost a lot and I mean A LOT! and if you are not covered by your parents insurance then you probably couldn't get them. For my college graduation I didn't get anything. So I don't really have any sympathy for you. I am going to spend time with my family and enjoy a good meal and appreciate that I do have a warm place to sleep at night, people that love me (even if they don't wrap my presents after making a fuss that I do it), and be grateful that everyone in my family is safe and is happy, I think you should do the same.

And sorry for the double post. ^_^;

My step-grandmother passed away today. Terrible, terrible timing. It was very sad.

On the bright side though, my dad said that since he didn't know what to give me he just gave me $200. Which is cool, since that's about how much I spend on all of my Christmas presents for other people this year.

Hilarious gifts.
My friend knew she was getting a scarf for Christmas (she followed me to the mall and picked it out) so I decided to add something to her gift that would surprise her (of course I kept the scarf to be wrapped and put under the tree!). So I put a Bieber magazine in the box.

Pause right there. Her mother beyond HATES that kid (unbelievable, right?).

So yeah. Wicked funny. My friend freaked out when she picked up the scarf and saw the magazine. But she got it by her mother who was all: ???

Anybody else do anything fun today?

So Christmas eve and morning was really horrible due to my mom just being the opposite of Christmas cheer and I cried a lot.

Today wasn't that bad tho. My dad picked me up and gave me a new camera (I wasn't even expecting anything from him because he has barely any money to spend) and some chocolates. He took me to my aunts for dinner. It was really chill. And everyone actually gave me a gift (I was surprised because most years I never got anything from family members) so I was really thankful that people thought of me today and got me a small gift :>

Christmas was ok this year. And Im thankful for the people that made it better.

Christmas was pretty good this year considering we didn't get to see any of our family this year ( they live a million miles away). We just had a quiet Christmas day working in the yard and having steamboat for dinner. My parents gave me some new copics and a laminating machine to make some sweet keychains :D I must say I am quiiiiiite satisfied overall :D

My parents are currently singing karaoke (horribly).

The gift I got that I'm most psyched about is my Kindle. ^^  I got it from my older brother.  I really didn't expect it at all, especially since I know he's pretty broke.  Also, I got an Ultimate Warrior t-shirt (!!) and Crying Freeman box set from my friend.  (There's a hilarious story behind Crying Freeman, and neither one of us has ever actually seen it, but it's a story me and my friend always tell people because it's insanely hilarious.  It's probably not appropriate for this forum though, ahehe.)

I posted this in the Doctor Who thread, but I thought I should post it here too :P

I HAVE REACHED A DILEMMA.
I want to do a NuWho cosplay (one that isn't half-assed like Jack was, not to mention I'm not masculine enough to pull of Jack anyways Dx), and it has boiled down between these two:

The Master or Rory
Both would be easy, and both I would use my real hair for (I'd dye it and cut it accordingly. My hair grows fast enough that it wouldn't really be a problem, and I could re-hawk it in a couple of months.
YOU GUYS DECIDE.

I'm pretty sure you guys just ODed on my ugly face >>

Happy Boxing day!

Or if you're Muslim, you don't even have to worry about a specific day of charity, since Zakat (one of the five pillars of Islam) states that they should give 2.5% of one's possessions and/or surplus wealth to charity or the poor and needy directly, sometimes on a regular basis.

My Christmas:

We went to my grandma's house for christmas eve dinner, which was delightful.
Afterwards we played 'Stocking Bingo' where if you win you get a mystery prize.
Then, my grandma, who won lottery scratch-its became 9 dollars richer and a lot more intoxicated than she had been previously.
I had to show her how to do the crossword scratch-its... all three of them, and yes, they were exactly the same, she's definitely not a well-functioning drunk.
We opened our traditional Christmas Eve presents - pajamas, every year since I was born, without fail.
And watched a movie, as is also a Christmas Eve tradition.
Curiously enough, my grandma's puppy, Maggie, who is not yet seven months old, knew about Christmas! I believe the older dog, Winnie, told her about it. Or something.
My sister and I made a fort on the living room floor, as there was only one guest bed. We awoke at 3:30 AM on Christmas Morning and watched a couple movies until 7, when the rest of the household woke up.
Then, we proceeded to open gifts.

I recieved:
*Playdoh Fun Factory Deluxe Set
*PillowPet Backpack Penguin
*iPod Touch
*Every excessory ever for it, lololol.
*Repo! The Genetic Opera, Sweeney Todd, and Tarzan
*A suprisingly well put together outfit from my Grandma
*NO LOTION lololol Anyone who was at or heard about my birthday knows why NOT getting any lotion was a gift. XD

After presents we watched another movie and just hung out until dinner time, which was ALSO delightful. :)

I hope the rest of you had an amazing Christmas. My family was together and we always have so much fun, and that's all I needed, but the gifts I recieved just made it even better.
I miss 2010.
