Or if you're Muslim, you don't even have to worry about a specific day of charity, since Zakat (one of the five pillars of Islam) states that they should give 2.5% of one's possessions and/or surplus wealth to charity or the poor and needy directly, sometimes on a regular basis.

I didn't realize that there was a specific % associated with that pillar...

Oh yeah, today is also the birthday of my very first crush! (It's funny that I still remember that, since I was 5 when I first learned this, but it's exactly 3 weeks after my b-day).

Washougal: Well, technically there is not a set % stated in the Quran, later texts said that a good amount is 2.5% but that's more of a recommendation. Some muslims give more and some less, since it's not a set rule.

I got.... my first New Years Eve dress/Modern Ms. White dress, a little Santa 'grow your own grass' kit (so I can watch grass grow), Queen Anne cherries (girls traditional gift), orange and bright teal mitten/gloves, a color in calendar (half traditional since my mom gives EVERYONE a calendar.) And a new sweater with grey yoga pants. Oh!!! And a shiny tiny babies penguin!!!

And I got to hang out with Washougal yesterday,and go book shopping today!

Well I spent a lot of my gift card. I bought Neverwinter Nights 2 Gold, The Diablo II battle chest, and anew pair of earphones.
I didbn't buy anything else with the gify card but I did get a container of milk and O.J. and oh boy that gave my arms quite a workout carrying them home.

My niece got some Barbie keyboard thing for playing songs. And I think one of the built-in songs must be "Barbie Girl" because I've been hearing it a lot lately. Anyways, I heard her playing it in her room so I started doing a ridiculous dance in the doorway .. then I look in the door and our cat is staring up at me with this o_O "wtf" face. Then I stopped and he turned around.

Luckily I have never really had to deal with any of that drama. I have basically had the same core group of friends since grade school. A couple of them, we're not as close anymore, .. different interests now. i.e., I don't smoke pot and they do . . a lot. But there isn't drama associated with the drifting apart.

It is kind of sad that we spend so much as kids wishing we were older, because you know: things are better when you're older; but the older I get, the more I wish I hadn't wasted all that time longing for age. ^^;

I've never had to deal with any school related drama because i've never actually set foot in a real school...but i see what you mean. The 90's were the best four years of my life...and maybe when they said that the world was going to end in the year 2000, they just ment everything awesome in the world.

My sophomore year of high school was absolutely ridiculous. Dramu central. I seem to be the person everyone confides in all the time, and so because of that I get placed in the middle of drama a lot but am never really part of it. X: Gets annoying.

Oh man, drama sucks. Not the actual subject, I loved drama club, but the drama that kids were filled with. Ugh.
I managed to avoid it up until my last year of high school when someone tried to pull me into it.

I'm not sure what animal that is (looks like a guinea pig, or something) but that's freakin' kawaii!

I'm eating an experiment for dinner: scrambled eggs with chicken and cheese blended in (and various seasonings), then slapped on bread with Russian dressing, and finally grilled on a panini! It's okay. I think I overdid it on the corn oil, though, and maybe need more dressing.

it looks like a guinea pig to me too and that sounds like an odd but sorta good sounding dinner
