I can say the same thing about Inuyasha, except that it's in english. Plus a rare funny episode where Adult Swim drew mustaches and doodles on the characters at random times. Probably with one of those pens they use for football replays.

Is it wrong to want to cry when your cosplay partner changes all her cosplay plans because one of her ex friends joined the group?

If it's a cosplay combo you feel deeply about that you've waited forever to pull off, I see no reason not to shed some tears of disappointment. But that also goes to show that nothing is ever certain until the last possible moment. Hope is good to have, but I doubt anyone is ever truly ready for an abrupt change when it happens.

Just saw the new 2013 look on the front page of the site. Kinda makes one start thinking...about doing pre-reg early. Like by the end of the year.

I myself look forward to when VIP registration starts.

Also i'd like to wish a happy Birthday to Sean Murray. For those who don't know who that is, he's the actor who plays McGee on NCIS.

I think that my printer is haunted. It keeps making noise like it's going to print, but no one told it to print.

And for dinner I had macaroni and cheese soup. Because I added too  much milk. It tasted good with hot sauce though. Then again, so does everything.

And I love heated blankets. I want to hug whoever invented them.

Crikey this place has been quiet as of late. Well now I've gone and done it. I've just purchased a Limited Edition version of the new Sim City game. I've been playing these games since the first Sim CIty. And I'm looking forward to seeing what Maxis has come up with this time.

Finally going to track down some plywood to finish fixing the backboard to my ball hoop. I wanna see if I can't put hooks on it and a hinge near the bottom to take it with me places. The middle school in town has a tennis court with basketball paint on one side, but no hoop. That would be a good movie: The Man with the Golden Hoop.

Okay folks here's a story that falls into the catagory of things that will make you go LOL.

Back in 1994, when Walker: Texas ranger was just getting off the ground, Chuck Norris was walking through the streets of downtown Dallas, Texas. Incidenetally this is where Walker is filmed. He didn't have anyone with him, not his bodyguards, not his wife, nobody. Anyway these two fellows round a corner. Chuck Norris being an affable and very nice person figures they're fans when he sees them coming his way. So he casually strolls up to them. Then one of them pulls a knife and aims it at Chuck Norris as he says, "We know who you are, give us your money Chuck!"

Well 4 minutes later when the police arrive they find Chuck Norris' assailants on the ground bloddied, batteredx, bonmes sticking out of thweir arms and Chuck Norris in his urban cowboy attire leaning up against a building. Chuck Norris casually shrugged and the Police Officers had to take a few minutes before they could arrest the thugs because they were holding their ribs in pain from laughing so hard. One of the police officers asks the muggers, "Don';t you know who this man is?"

The Mugger responds, "Yeah, but we figured all that stuff we saw on T.V. was fake."

Uhh, hello! Chuck Norris, genuine 14k American bad dude, trained with the likes of Bruce Lee! And the moral of this story is, DON'T MESS WITH CHUCK NORRIS!

Never Gonna Give You Up lyrics
Songwriters: Aitken, Matthew James; Stock, Michael; Waterman, Pete
Sung by: Rick Astley
Covered by: Tonio, Kaito Shion, Gakupo Kamui, Sweet Ann (Sweet Annley), Nekomura Iroha, & Miku Hatsune*

Ooh ooh

We're no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I
A full commitment's what I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other guy
I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

We've known each other for so long
Your heart's been aching but
You're too shy to say it
Inside we both know what's been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it
And if you ask me how I'm feeling
Don't tell me you're too blind to see

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

(Ooh, give you up)
(Ooh, give you up)
(Ooh)
Never gonna give, never gonna give
(Give you up)
(Ooh)
Never gonna give, never gonna give
(Give you up)

We've known each other for so long ((We've known each other since 1987))
Your heart's been aching but
You're too shy to say it
Inside we both know what's been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it

I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling ((I'm feeling bloody marvelous))
Gotta make you understand

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Hey folks. I got a big annoucement from the world of gaming. Ubisoft who purcased the rights to the Might and Magic universe is bringing the original Might and Magic universe back. I'm talking the one with S.H.E.L.T.E.M., C.O.R.A.K. and the whole nine yards. It appears Ubisoft is finally paying attention to what the fans want are bring the oldies but goodies back in a new style that will fit with the newer computers. If you don't believe me go to Ubisoft's web page or it's Youtube channel; and see the advertisment for Might and Magic X Legacy.

All i can say is they'd better keep it in the oruiginal spirit of what the creator of the game series had in mind.

Respect the classics maaaan!

I know for the longest time someone had been doing Pac-man.
Got a retro VG cosplay idea that involves a ship...and some big rocks.

Also I think Kumoricon should hold a Bad-Anon panel this year. (Wreck-it Ralph bad guy meeting)
Unless one had been suggested already.

Next week I'm going to be working five days and two of the those five days, as far as I know, are going to be days when this dang heat wave is going to be laying down the smack on us. I know I'm earning money for Kumoricon, but OH BOY this is going to be one of the hardest earned checks I've had to date. And as a courtesy clerk I've been through some real scortchers.

Looks as though I won't be going at Sub-Zero due to money issues. Instead I'll just go as David Cardigan again. I've decided to put Henry Townshend away for a while. Unless someone thinks otherwise.

Just getting something off my chest here, pay no attention please.

If I really wanted to guilt trip people about my not getting in, it'd be way too easy. But I've been nice, and not said just what I really lost by not getting in, but I need to say it now.
My job
My phone
The last bit of money I had to my name
My *** life
Over $300 in materials
Time looking for a new job
several friends
Several very important and priceless books to pay off my bills (which bill money was used to buy materials)
My sanity

Now tell me, after losing all that and not once talking about it, that I'm trying to ****ing guilt trip people. I'm not. But believe me, I freaking could if I wanted to.

*end rant*

Today was my 23rd wedding anniversary.

She gets a gift made our of VANADIUM. (element 23.)

Yes, we did do all the previous elements in previous years, and this is cool because with Vanadium out of the way the next 6 years or so are pretty damned CHEAP.

A coworker of many years and a friend Ed Bitz I discovered passed away recently. He died from congenital heart failure due to complications of Multiple Sclerosis. The sad thing is he was only a year or two older than me. So he died way too young. It's things like this that remind me just what's important in this life amily, friends, and the deeds we do.

Spending parts of my nights and weekends preparing for
the Patent Bar Exam. (Yikes!)

On-line, the instructor references US Patents 6,022,219 and 6,213,778.

ZOMG - some woman in Aspen, CO got two patents for...

... painting by using a baby's butt....
Srsly - you cannot make this up...

PS: They both expired due to non-payment of maintenance fees, SO NOW the process of painting by means of applying paint to a baby's ass and stamping or smearing, in any ordered or random pattern, is now IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN.

It is with a heavy heart that i must announce Rik Mayal, who played such legendary characters as Rik from the British T.V. show the Young Ones back in the 1980's and later starred in shows such as Bottom, Black Adder, and even played Drop Dead Fred in the movie of the same name has passed from this world. He was only 58 years old. According to reports he died from complications of an accident he suffered in the late 90's. His insane cartoonish style of alternative British humor will sorely be missed.

So I see lots of folks at cons decorating their stuff with a Zelda (?) logo which has at its center three triangles stacked to form a larger triangle.

Dudes. Check out Fischer (the Austrian ski company founded in 1924.)

Well, if they've had that logo since they started, it's not "the Zelda logo"..Also, I've never seen a copyright mark on the Triforce anyway..So chances are, tNintendo didn't come up with it anyway. It's just more widely known as the Triforce and an iconic Zelda image.

Naw, I was just saying that the center part of the Zelda Tri-force thingie reminds me of Fischer skis.
In college I won a silver in downhill racing (not slalom, not GS - DOWNHILL.
My fastest speed was clocked at 62mph.)

Meanwhile, the outer portion of the Zelda Tri-force thingie reminds me A LITTLE of the old (Cold War era) Aeroflot logo.
See if you agree:

Okay folks I think it's time I livened this thread up a bit. IN THE GOOD WAY!!! I'm issuing an open challenge to anyone who does AMVs who got the guts to take this up. I make it no secret I love the old school of rock and Roll. the old school is the best school in my humble opinion. My challenge is this make an AMV to the song Without your Love by Roger Daltry. This is for rookie AMV makers and seasoned veterans of the AMV contest wars. That's my challenge make an AMV to Without your Love by Roger Daltry...so do I have any takers?

EMO Button!!
« Reply #21593 on: June 25, 2015, 02:05:05 pm »
OK, so industrial equipment design changes over time. Lots of equipment need "emergency shutoff"switches or buttons, especially stuff with powerful motors or engines and moving parts and lots of energy for slicing, drop-forging, and other operations that could kill you if you act like a Portland pedestrian type person who thinks the whole world will stop for you if you walk out and stand in the middle of the street. Try this in a heavy industrial site and you will get flattened.

Machines like cranes that can pick up and move a cement mixer as if it were a child's toy, metal shredders that can eat a bus in under 9 seconds, and conveyer belts of all sorts usually have one if not many emergency shutoff buttons or kill switches. They're usually red and surrounded by yellow or yellow-and-black striped backgrounds, and affectionately they are known as the BRB or BRS, which is 'Big Red Button', or 'Big Red Switch.'

Well, the recent trend is to call these 'Emergency OFF" buttons, and somehow that got abbreviated 'EMO.'
So you can now buy EMO buttons in case you go emo:

OK - I missed the bonus points.
All I could think of was "Puni Puni Poemi" and "Pani Poni Dash." (And "Dai Mahou Touge," FWIW.)

Go ahead and explain!

Sounds like a "spet."

Example: Mokona, Haru, etc. Annoyingly cuddle, or over-cute 'pet' thing that makes you want to go 'sput,'
where 'sput' is the sound of a properly suppressed pistol.
Spets often derail the plot by becoming noisy and needy at inopportune times,
such as delaying the questing party because it needs to be fed.
Some spets are the annoying type that make high-pitched incomprehensible chirpy noises which must be translated by the one character in the group who can interpret "pi-pi-pi-pi-pi-pi-pi-pi."

Refer to the old AMV "Chibi Things that met Ma-Deuce" for proper disposal of 'spets.'

Very cool, then.
