Short Cosplay Ideas

I'm a pretty short kid but I wanted to go as someone other than Edwars Elric (as much as I love him.) Any ideas?

Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura, or any of the characters really.
Merle from Escaflowne.
Sasami from the Tenchi series.
Hunni from Host Club.
Most Miyazaki movies have main characters that are 10+.
Ed from Cowboy Bebop.
Sumomo from Chobits.

Why not just disregard height and go as who you want?

blackjack suggestion is something to consider.  although, something to note. practially almost every anime girl out there is short.  I mostly see a range of 4' 8" to 5' 3".

I wouldn't usually care, but most of the characters I want to go as are tall boys. (Kurogane from Tsubasa, Harima from School Rumble etc.) I was told I would make the character look chibi. 

But thanks, I'll probably ending up going as who I please.

You could PURPOSEFULLY go as chibi versions! That's always fun! XD But I agree, most anime girls are short. If you're looking for guys, look for the younger boys. Off the top of my head I can think of Ash from Pokemon, Goku from Saiyuki, Shuuichi from Gravitation, Daisuke or Satoshi from DNAngel, etc etc. I'd suggest just looking through your favorite anime/manga for characters you wouldn't mind cosplaying. ^^
