Hello everyone! I wanted to let everyone in the Portland area know about something my friends and I are putting together. We've been throwing New Years Eve parties for the last several years, however, this year we've rented out a large space and are inviting lots of people! We call it "Nerding Up the New Year". Here are the details for anyone interested~
When: December 31'st, 6pm - 12:30am
Where: Milwaukie Grange Hall

Cost: $5 at the door
(we will also be supplying and sell concessions at reasonable price)
What to expect---~!
We will have video game consoles of a wide variety set up, as well as tables for card gaming and tabletop roleplay.
Also expect Video game tournaments.
Cosplay will be welcome, though remember, this is midwinter. It will be cold. Dress appropriately. If kcon doesn't allow it, neither will we.
We'll offer games and controllers to check out, with a valid state ID card, but feel free to bring your own if you feel safe doing so. If you bring your own games, please try to arrive early so we can check it in and mark it.
Gaming activities will end around 11:30 as we get all the equipment checked back in and turned off, in anticipation of the new year. Everything else will begin to wrap up just afterwards.
We're allowing in a maximum of 175 people, and this will be a drug and alcohol free event.
