actually today isnt anything significant

it was at this time we recognize his birth but not the stuff he did

I like to think of today as an Observance, kinda like Patriot Day; it's not really a holiday, but a day to remember, take pride in, and mourn, the events and connections to that day.

That sounds ridiculously unfair and a little unjust. I'd probably skip if my school did that. Well, maybe not; I don't "celebrate" MLJ Jr. Day and I love going to school.

Today is a paid holiday. I don't know if the university had classes or not. Me, it's double time and a half to be here.

But, the union bargaining committee gave away Veteran's day, so that is just another day here. Makes me feel special, ya know. Being a veteran and all.

Thank goodness today isn't another drinking holiday, like St. Patrick's, Cinco de Mayo ( which I abhor, being of French extraction), or Labor day.

So, by this post I've made, it can be stated that, in about 19.5 hours, there have been almost 200 views made in here.

I didn't have classes at OSU...I seriously thought it was a National Holiday...even the post office is closed today! I wonder how that school still had classes going... hmmmm... well, hope ya learned something by going to school 4 another day!
