<Mini-spoiler> So, we're watching KAZE no STIGMA

and Kazuma and Ayano are at a POSH restaurant.
Kazuma the twit orders a bottle of Chateau Margaux 2003. <-- YIPE!!!!

Now first of all, you probably can't touch a regular sized bottle for less than $775.

So SECOND of all, Kazuma you twit, that is WAY YOUNG to drink!
(Give it twenty to thirty YEARS....)

are you refering how ayano is underage or the age of the wine?

Kazuma is rich btw, I dun think $775 is very much to him...he does live in a very nice hotel....

Yes, I meant the wine. Unless the show is supposed to be set 15-20 yrs in the future, drinking a 2003 Margaux today is like going off-roading in a Rolls-Royce, so I was thinking Dude, why are you *wasting* a 2003?!? - go for something no earlier than the mid-90s. With restaurant pricing, he'd likely pay an extra couple of hundred bucks for that additional time in the bottle but as you said, we're sure he can afford it...

Here's a chart of how Margaux is aging (about halfway down.) The earliest that are 'ready' are 8 years old. Look down into the '70s and you'll see 1975 is 'almost ready' - still something to WAIT FOR.

Runa met someone at her work who had had a Margaux that was about 20 years old at the time; he said it was "stellar."

We had a 1967 this afternoon and it was AWESOME!
Austere and beautiful. Lemony and clean, with a long, gentle leathery finish ...

I want to cry now...
