I'm kind of curious if this is an example of me overanalyzing things or not. Maybe other people have (or have had) similar sentiments. I want to do something pleasant for kahlan-gf for Valentine's Day, but at the same time I feel like whatever I do on the day will be undercut by the fact that it is Valentine's Day and I'm supposed to do something nice. I have tons of ideas for things I'd like to do and places I'd like to take her, but does anybody on here think doing them on Valentine's Day would possibly cheapen the emotions and reasoning behind the actions?

Like I said.....I tend to overanalyze...lol

If you don't like the idea of Valentines day being to arbitrary wait for the weather to clear up some time this month and celebrate on that day as a way of telling your love "Don't worry sweety! Winter's almost over!"

I've had a boyfriend on Valetines day once. And to be honest, it was quite a normal and boring as any other time. Not really much to miss out on. Of course... he was lame hence why we are not together now, lol.

Lol I made something really dorky but it was fuuun xD
I made this board with writing on it. The thing was that some words are replaced by candy bars.
Here's what it says (the candy bars are parenthesized):
Dear ----,
(U-no) how much I love you. Who'da thought that a couple of (nerds) would be so perfect for each other? Sometimes it's a (rockyroad) but (take 5) and (look) to the future. Someday we'll have (100 grand) and live on (5th avenue). I'll even let you by my (sugar daddy). XD

Of course... he thinks that I can't pick up my present until after Valentine's day heheh I mostly did that so he wouldn't search for it like he said he would. xD
Being clever makes it TONS easier to hide something where he wouldn't look. >__O

I'm all that... except the panda part. Well kind of. I hate my job... the only good thing about it is the pay (not that great, but good enough to make me think twice about giving notice without something else lined up.), and the occasional downtime when everything is working properly. I'd actually like that last part more if that meant I got to work on improving it so that it stayed worked even more often... I have the skills, at least the basic ones and the theory at a more advacned level, but that's like several things combined to this crazy world. So the extra resource (time) goes to the community (enriching it around me) through Kumoricon. As a bonus to my work, it keeps me awake and sharp over night shifts...

OMG!! School is frigging ridiculous!!! All the girls are in frily pink, red and white things with jumbo balloons, big bears, and boxes of chocolate. I shold have taken a pic during lunch, it would have made a really cool pic looking out in a high school lunch room in a sea of white, pink and red with balloons here and there. They have to call someone down to the office every 5 min for someone to pick something up someone dropped off for them.

For the most part, not a bad Valentines at all. Shockinly I have seen 0 couples make out in the hallways!!! And I got a teddy bear from a guy friend which shocked the hell out of me.

i didn't get alot, but i'm happy! ^_^ i got a box of nerds,some laffy taffy ( my friend jackie and i started singing 'laffy taffy' lol! XD), a lollipop, and a cool wrist band! (checkered) plus some stuffs from my parents. they can be pretty cool sometimes. my daddy ate his whole lunch with chopsticks! i was so proud! ^_^

I ran around campus and tried to figure a hard bit of homework that's due tomorrow morning, make a copy of a scholarship form, dressed in my usual clothes, and went to class.

Besides the small chocolates we got in class and the half-dressed cupid shooting (fake) arrows in the student center, same ol' same ol'.
