After much frustration these blasted cat ears are finally done!

Made out of craft foam, pipe cleaners and black and pink felt. Pipe cleaners are so obvious in this pic, wondering if I should put some pink fuzz or something. The difficult part: I sorta just draped the black felt over the ears and pinned and sewed it together. By sheer luck it worked.

I went two days last year and I am hoping to go to all four this year. I want to get as much of a con experience that I can so it will hold me till the next con.

I want to get the full con experience too. Past years I've just been in regular clothing tagging along with my sister. This time I'll have a costume to wear!

I am even going to drive to Sakuracon this year. Last year it was the last day of spring break so we had to leave early on Sunday to get back to school but I am want to leave latter. So I am going to have to miss at least one day of classes (it will be in the middle of the term for me) and I'll leave Thursday night and try to get back late Sunday or even Monday.

yay i got back from the tiring and burning hot walk t o joanns. i found my button again after spending 5 minutes looking through the button isle. Kagami went with me. yes i am going to have my twin! she thinks she can get it done if i help her. (she hasn't even started yet) i dont know wut i am gonna do today but i think im gonna keep working on my shoes and watch "I survived a japanese game show"

My Gramma and i went on a quest toay! we were looking for cat/bunny slippers for misha and I. we hit aout 5-10 stores, asking around. we ended up getting some 3 dollar balet-flat like slippers at Ross in Beaverton. we're gonna sew the ears on! but today im leaving to the beach for a birthday party.its gonna be like, 2 days =D= that emote is happy yet scared at the same time. oh well, ill bring as much stuff to work on as i can.

the slippers are great but they were off white yelloy so i am sewing on white fleece to make them white

. i also drew on a bunny face and ill sew ears on last! woo! i almost have the front designs almost done on the bottom of shia. when will you need it back before the beach

i might be going swiming tonight but im not sure so ill txt you if i need to give it back to you early

Progress

misha: same except i have shoes and i just need to modify them a bit. i also decided that including the ears i'm also gonna stick mini wings that look like misha's on the sides and a little tail in the back. i actually just thought about the wings just now...i hope they arent too heavy for the shoes... i hope to finnish the white tonight. and the wings tail and ears tomorrow. i'm going to a wig store called wigland over by the loyed center so im gonna look for misha's wig.

Rikku: im still on the first shoe but yesterday i did another round of stitches to secure the yellow onto the shoe. i also got one green stripe on and i will most likely do the other green stripe going across tonight. i think ill start the other shoe tomorrow. i dont need a wig for this costume yay!

Tsukasa: havent done any thing else except im going to the wig store tomorrow so i'll look for a wig there.

A petticoat does the trick if you want the poofy. A white tutu would also do the job and you can find them in most dance-oriented stores I think.

Alright I am going to finish up Albel between tonight and tomorrow so I can wear the completed costume to early con. The only thing I will have left to do is order contacts and I can't do that till I get my next pay check.

damn right. It was a 38 G yeah i didn't even know they had a G. On top of that the bra was normally $60 but I got it for $5 ^_^

one step further on leeroy jenkins' sword, the Blackhand Doomsaw. im applying newspaper right now instead of packing paper just to get the hang of the paper mache considering im working on 3 things right now without ever working with this paper mache stuff

but i think its turning out nice so far lol. after like a gagillion more layers it will be perfect =D then ill add the packing paper and huzzah!

I'm still procrastinating gluing my Kairi skirt XDD

But on the plus side, I'm gonna try on my whole Yuna cosplay tomorrow and see how it looks together. So far I've only tried it in parts x_x

My most interesting dilemma is if I want to cut my hair for Yuna or not, or if I want to even just trim it up and add bangs. Personally, I hate bangs and never like them, and I can't afford a wig- period. But my hair's on the edge right now of being waaay too long to pass as Yuna "safely" >> I'd be like "Yuna after a year of FFX-2" cause my hair's so long xD

I don't feel like styling the wig though and I'm waiting on the patch.

Duuuude. I worked my BUTT off tonight.
Takano is just about finished! The green ribbon I bought is too translucent, so I'll go get a different kind tomorrow and I can finish up the details.
Today I bought shoes --$5 at Goodwill!! (sexy black heels! I've been wearing 'em all day to get used to them), also got tights.
I got some hem tape and added detail to the corset thingie. I completely made her little bow/scarf thingie, and I LOVE it!! Also found a clever way to fasten it to the outfit.
Still have to make her ribbon/brooch thingie, add buttons (which I've already aquired) to the cloak and remove some embroidery from her hat. Then I just have to sit back and wait for my wig to arrive! (Also considering getting colored contacts.)

Today I actually made Kyoko's broom! That was a fun project! I figured I would be buying one, but when I realized I had the means to make it, I went ahead and did it. I love it. <3 I bought some bamboo sticks and went at 'em with a handsaw. I feel pretty buff now. Screw not going to the gym today, I got my workout it.

I dyed her apron yellow and in a short while I will be drawing the "PIYO PIYO" design on it. I bought a scarf for her hair tie, just have to dye it blue.

Today I made Tohma's PimpCoat. I am so excited. That must be the most I have ever sewn in my life. I found the perfect coat at Goodwill and sewed on big honkin' feathery fur trim. PIMP.

Today I also think I regained some sanity and decided against doing another cosplay. I'm really into these ones right now and I'm having a ridiculous amount of fun doing them! I'm so excited I'll be finished early this time. Last year I was finishing stuff up the night before the con. Yiiiikes.

That makes me so happy. I am hoping to have pictures of my completed Albel up by Sunday

I have very few things left in order to prep for con. If i want to spend $75 to get the red contacts for Albel (they are so expensive because I need them a certain power) and I need to get my hair dyed one more time, but that's it.

The one thing that I haven't noticed the last few times that I wore Temari is that the shoes weren't bugging me. Maybe it just took a little time to break them in?

I got like 50% of my spanner jumpsuit done yesterday. I just need to do the collar and details. Tsunas jumpsuit still needs a few more details.
Apparently I'm really dumb, and can't read, because I got my wigs yesterday, and apparently I ordered them in black D: when I need them to be blonde. Oh well. Im going to sell one, keep one for black haired howl, and buy a cheap wig for Sanji

So it should all work out anyway.

I also picked up the last of my costume bits for Sanji yesterday.

(my hair is just pulled back in a pony-tail.)

And I was bummed about no Howl wig, but I tried it on today without the wig, and I actually think it looks better now that my hair is long!

Please ignore the shirt I am wearing. It was my mockup for the real one, hence no hem, or ruffle, and it being all wrinkled D:

So all I have to do now is get a wig for Sanji, finish the jumpsuits, remake my bridget handcuff, and if have time, make Leona

Got most of my friend's fabric cut out today~ Gave her a couple links to things, too, so she should be done soon.

I still have to do a lot with mine; might end up dropping Misa. I think Mana's more important to finish anyway, what with having missed one con with her (I wasn't allowed to go and she wasn't even started yet, so...)

Thankfully my friend has a sewing machine, so we can sew at the same time.

Oh yeah, my cosplay list grew. For the future, at least. It's another YuGiOh character, heh.
