Pirate outfit redo = COMPLETE!
Got my official PoTC replica toy sword...which is uber nice!  Yes, it is plastic, but it doesn't look obvious at all.

The goal for this week is to go searching for a sweater vest for my Ravenclaw student costume...and see if buying a wand is in the budget.   Also, figure out which of my other possible cosplays I'm going to do, given the time and money restraints.

My friend's mother should start working on the Sailor Jupiter costume next weekend...after she finishes some wedding dresses and my friend's Sailor Mars costume.

Today a lot of my Albel costume came apart so I am going to fix that. It wont take very long at all i just didn't want to get into that tonight.

i still need to remake the ryuichi shirt (seen in the top-right) then my kumagoro is 75% complete, all i have to do now is make the 2 parts of the backside, stuff it up then make the bow....i'm actually very amateur at sewing but this is turning out nicely(double stitched everything because of ryuichi's need to throw kumagro everywhere....)  btw, hand sewing forever lol kind of wish i had a machine but i'm cheap and lazy~


and here it is pre-detail, think imma try to find some better fabric i can use to extend the nose and mouth out a bit further by like half a cm, and a new tounge thing too, imma work on gettin the bow to look right, actually imma get  bigger ribbon lol i didnt realize he'd be so big and fat xD and his face needs to be a bit rounder......oh well he's cute~

The Kumagoro is adorable!!!

I just got back from vacation, and I still have  ALOT todo D: Bahhhhh humbug. I should sew my little butt off. At least I got both of my wigs ordered yesterday! Thank god for graduation money, haha.

I didn't do nearly as much as I was hoping this weekend -- was dead tired from work.  T_T  However, I did get my molds finished, so I can theoretically try to cast tonight if the last one's all dry, and am about halfway through boning the corset I think will work as a foundation layer for Risai's obi.  If I'm lucky, I'll get that done tonight as well, and the tape on top and bottom, and maybe even start setting grommets.

I'm technically within my timeline (those are the two things I wanted to have done by next Sunday), but that still doesn't inspire too much confidence in me.  I need to get back to working on Miranda.  The clock keys showed up, and I want to try to clean the rust off one to see if it'll work (though rusty is kind of appropriate for her, yes? ); if it doesn't, there's another in the lot that I'll just paint silver.

My replacement Risai wig is supposed to show up today.  Hopefully it'll work better.  I should really finish detangling my Unohana wig too.  Maybe I'll bring that to anime night tonight if I go.

Needs less work moar cosplay!

jeez thats  lot to do @@ all i have left now is to head to goodwill and buy some fabric so i cn stat remaking ryu's frilly shirt, then possible make a 2nd outfit or him if i have the money....

sheesh soo expensive to get a wig @@;;  went to sallies today bought the perfect vest wich i probly shouldnt have cut off the scrunchie part =\ and a pair of pants that are seemingly a bit tight, oh well...now all thats left ryu #2 are the biker gloves (which i'm making now) and  a nice pair of shades.  after i'll work on the frill shirt

Bwaaaa! I was almost done with my Artwork Bridget revamp and I lost my gold paint! I'm sure it's somewhere in my apartment but I can't find it anywhere. And I just wasted some more of my savings on pointless stuff. God damn wigs costed me like 60 dollars...

I finished my Charlotte Elbourne cosplay in time for Anime Expo 08, but I have to fix some things in time for Kumoricon. Some of the golde trimming on the front is coming off, and the sleeves need to be adjusted. I also need to fix the skirt portion a little so that its easier to walk in, and get some better shoes, and fix the necklace... wow that is a lot to do XD but I can have it done within a week or less...

That's a lot to do, but you can do it! Planning is step 1 and, as I mentioned to Kahlan the other day, half the battle! (Probably not really, but we have to stay optimistic, lol)

I have way too much to do still, this weekend is halfway shot, work next week is going to be bonkers, my housemates want to move my craftspace into the garage so we can clear out the spare bedroom and get someone moved in there with the advent of the new university school year ... so yeah, I'm in panic mode.  But I'm always in panic mode before con -- I think it's a habit.  :3

Oh the other hand: the stipulation of my moving was I GET GARAGE SPACE ENOUGH TO WORK, DAMN IT, and my rent will be less this month (and next) which means more money for projects (yay!), and I've got a paid half-day today which means I'm out of here in five minutes and should have about four hours from when I get home until I have to leave in order to work on things.  That should be enough to finish up the boning on my corset (and maybe even the edging, if I'm lucky) and hopefully do the first round of resincasts for my Risai belt, and iron out the fabric I'll be using for Miranda's sleeves so I can figure out how much I've got left of the dyed-black and see about cutting them when I clean off the desktop tomorrow in preparation for moving the table.

At least I don't have to come in to work this weekend after all.  Thank gah for small mercies.

(And my Risai wig came in.  I haven't tried it on yet, but the colour looks like it'll work out better.  Fwee!)

I've begun making Gaz's head with my dad, and it should be done in a couple of days. Then it's onto the necklace and the clothes. My mom is gonna start making the Kairi dress in a little bit cause she has he pattern all done. ^_^

i was thinking about that too, all my charecters have blue eyes but i have brown o.o problem is they dont make colored contacts in perspriction, istigmatisum gets in the way big time =.= theres few contacts alone for that, let alone colored...

I'm proud to say, I'm almost done with my Leeloo cosplay.
I special ordered orange pleather online, it's here, I just need to make it.
Also waiting for the wig (almost tempted to just have my hair grow out and dye it but...)

Though I'm afraid I won't have my Stella cosplay done by then. sigh

I too have to order some colored contacts, but fortunately for me I don't have any eye troubles to worry about. I've never worn contacts before, so I guess that could be a problem, just figuring it out, but I suppose it'll all be fine. I just don't want the contacts to roll behind my eye or anything.....*shudders* That scares me away from wearing them, lol.

Contacts wont roll behind your eyes. I don't even know if that is possible.....I guess if you sleep with them in but I don't do that.

I need to put money in the bank so I can buy my contacts *still doesn't know if they are needed* I guess at the early con people can tell me if I need them or if it looks fine without them.

Ah, yeah, I had never heard of things like that happening to your contacts/eyes, but leave it to me to think up something terrible that could happen but never would, lol.

.....I don't think you have anything to worry about. Just don't wear them to bed. I had color contacts before but they bugged me, it wasn't like they were uncomfortable but my vision was green along the edges.....it was annoying. Plus they were heavy so they slid down (making the seeing green thing worse) and showed my real eye color. I'm hoping the ones I get don't do that.

Hmm, that could be annoying or problematic. I guess the best way for me to get a good understanding is just to get a pair and wear them. I've got a site bookmarked, I think some people on here recommended it, so it should be a good place to buy from.

I have a site bookmarked too because they were cheap. Some red contacts were going to be like $100 and I really want to try to keep in under $50 if I can.

I have a little problem with my Wario cosplay. I can't figure out what to make his mustache out of (that will last the weekend), and how to attach/stick it on my face. Can someone help me?

You could shape on out of felt and use double-stick tape. It would look kinda fake, but his mustache does look fake, so.....yeah, lol.

glue? There is some type of glue that is used on skin.......like the stuff they use for wigs.

Hmmm, I know there are body paints out there, I can't really suggest any because I've never used them, but maybe you could ask Totemo. I know she was (at least) considering doing some character who is all blue.

I'm gonna need this info for next year as well, though, as I will be cosplaying as Hellboy, heh. Red paint, I need you!

haha, that's awesome. I really need to watch more Avatar, because I don't know that character, but I looked him up and that would be really fun, heh. Thanks for the suggestion. There's a great chance that you'll see me as that character before too long. It'd go perfectly with the way I'm gonna style my hair within the next year (shaved).
