Gah, my arms are exhausted, especially my triceps. It's really hard to cut plywood with an exacto knife, a handsaw, and a screwdriver, I've found. Not impossible, just a lot of effort.

I've done most of the work that's absolutely necessary on Ashitaka, so tomorrow I work on Cardcaptor Sakura. And maybe a little on Ashitaka. I want those chaps finished if at all possible.

But there's still lots to do on CCS. Thankfully we're not wearing them until Sunday, so I have time at the con in the evenings if necessary.

And I haven't worked on my friend's white mage costume to fix up the neckhole yet. Darn procrastination.

hey, my dad went in Hot Topic once with me to get some fishnet for my Yuffie and managed to get sidetracked by the hair dyes they had there. He was seriously considering dying his hair traffic cone orange.

My mom won't let me dye my hair red. She used to have a business partner that was apparently epic crazy because all the years of dying her hair red seeped into her brain.

I got my DeathNote in the Mail TODAY!!!

My Teru Mikami Costume is at 95%! (I couldn't get my contact prescription in time for the Death God Eyes) so the costume is as done as its gonna be! I went to the con last year but this is my first year cosplaying. Yay.

Anyone have binding suggestions? I need to bind rather large bewbs and self-adhering ACe bandages aren't working. I've even used a combo of that and duck tape so I wouldn't end up with a uniboob, but no matter how I do it I still look like I have either an unbound A or B cup or really big pecs.

D: I need to bind for two of my costumes and I has no binding.

I've tried everything short of a waist cincher pulled up over my chest. Besides, I would need to get a lot of medical tape XD Bob Fairy, you are too kind. Really.

If I slouch with the Ace bandage method, I look like I've got a man-chest. But then I also have an L-esque posture, and I'm pretty sude neither Riku nor Demyx has a back quite as bad as his.

I would suggest a sports bra to start, then bind around that as best you can. You might have to adjust it once in a while during the con, but that's really the best I can say.

I use the tape method and it doesn't take that much tape... about half a roll, I also found a package of 4 at Albertsons. It works really well though.....but you can't lift your arms very hight above your head.

Mm'kay, I need to go to WalMart anyway to get yarn and new crocheting hooks. I'll get Ace bandages and a sports bra while I'm there. I'll probably need to lift my arms above my head at some point, so the tape method is definitely out.

I finished my friends persona cosplay
Tomorrow I hope to COMPLETELY from start to finish make a NEW haruhi skirt, fix the shirt, and add on my Patch...
Maybe I'll be able to relax for a day or two before the con...

Today I made some epic awesome progress. I got my cannon almost completed. The barrels are in and fixed, so all I have to do is attach the wheels and the rubber tracking (which should hopefully arrive tomorrow). I will have progress pictures later today, but yeah, I'm excited over how it looks.

Oh, and I also got my pants almost completely finished. Yay for that too.

But it's a super simple costume so not much to be that proud of other than I don't do many sewing projects.

I have another 4 hours ahead of me on Thursday making my Kurenai dress. (Yes, it takes me that long to even do a simple dress

it almost looks like a leg or arm warmer with fingers....maybe you can buy one and alter it or get the fabric that they are typically made out of.

I am going to glue the armor to my new gloves today. That wont take very long....an hour tops.

the disks for the back of rikku's shirt are done. the metal on rikku's right glove just had the back painted, and thats drying now. after i finish the other glove i might go to the library for a test drive. just to make sure the gloves dont rip doing my daily things...

Queen Beryl corset is done, gromets in place. I just need lacing. Gown for Beryl is done, I just need to hem the bottom(but my f-n sewing machine choked out on me after the corset)....and add the black moons on the boobies. Jewelry is done(although I am waiting on glass to be made for the gems)...and the staff needs to be assembled.

Baby Bonnie Hood just needs a couple stiches and possibly a new apron(it got covered in tacobell last year when I got t-boned on the way home from kumoricon >_<;;;;

annnnd......Akane from Ranma is done.

and Sailor Saturn may get done by the con. I dunno.

Rodney, the cannon looks EPIC.

I bought black bias tape and a hot glue gun for the lines on my pants, and some black boots at Goodwill today! Hurrah. The only thing I couldn't find was a clear ruler with different sized circles (no idea what it's called either), but I'll work something out. The black boots I got aren't quite like Leeloo's, but they fit and will do.
I still have to finish those suspenders. uwaa

I got little hair band thingies with the hair extensions attached to them so it makes my hair have more volume for Temari and looks a little bit better. Right now I am waiting for the hot glue gun to warm up so I can finish the claw.
