Borders Manga Party! March 15th

So, the Beaverton/Cedar Hills Borders is having a manga/anime party on Saturday, March 15th at 1:00pm! They will be having contests, events, maybe even some panels (and cosplayign was encouraged). So, anybody want to go? Kahlan-gf and I are planning to go in cosplay. ^_^

I haven't heard about it at any others, and just heard the announcement as I was at the Beaverton location. It seems like pretty common practice for specialty events like this to be at just one location, more often than not.

btw I checked the events taking place, and I couldn't find the manga/anime party. D: Can you point me in the direction of details?

How long will it last?

From what I heard today, it depends on how MANY people show up for this event, but I think it may last for an hour. I would also love to try my L Lawliet cosplay, but the preparations for both my hair and face aren't even started yet!  

I don't think any of the other Borders stores in the state will be doing this besides the one in Beaverton/Cedar Hills.

Just found out that I might not have to work on Saturday, so I might actually be able to go.  I want to cosplay, but have nothing finished. Random question...would it be weird if I wore half of a FMA military costume?

Just found out that I might not have to work on Saturday, so I might actually be able to go.  I want to cosplay, but have nothing finished. Random question...would it be weird if I wore half of a FMA military costume? 

If you have the top, wear jeans or blue pants, and if you have bottom, wear a blue shirt and a jacket tied around your waist. ^^

Ok, first of all, I may just have to have a piece of paper that says 'Syd-Chan' on my back...It'll also cover up the holes in my shirt! XD!!

Also, I was sort of skimming a random site[it may have been the borders] and I didn't see anything about the party? Are you sure this will be happening? >.>....Becuase if I'm the only one who doesn't get the memo again and drives 1 hour and 30 minutes just to wait outside for 45 minutes....o.0 It's happened.

Karate...testing? You mean Karate class finals? If so, that's the same thing happening to me on Wednesday. And for Ryu, I will be wearing sandals under my bare feet, just because rocks aren't my best friends.

I couldn't sign up for the book club. I live an hour and a half away and with gas, twice a month is too much. But, Catchxme, that was so much fun!!! XD! And I got to meet Jaz and Kendo Boyfriend. >.>...I still think he should have gotten that plushie, Jaz.....

My cosplay would've been a lot more authentic, but I didn't have time to fix my hair or apply any black eyeliner under my eyes.

I took at least 7 pictures and bought a copy of Yakitate!! Japan vol. 10 from Powells Books(Burnside location) later that day. Also, the drawing lesson really broke down most of the complicated details that go into drawing a manga character, so yeah I may start to actually draw again......

Due to the attack of a swollen throat that hurt when I swallowed, and the fact that I was falling over myself trying to gather up two last pieces of costume, ontop of which my ride wasn't able to take me in time, I wasn't able to come this time. The next event I won't be eluded so easily. Mwahahah! Okay, villain phase over. Seriously though, it sounds like I missed an epic party. I'm trying to clear everything I can for the 29th. I can't afford to miss a party when its on my hometown's front door.
