So I listen to songs and make them into AMVs in my head, and there's a song called "The Makeout Song" and it's actually pretty cute (you can listen to it here http://www.myspace.com/kiddopop )and I was picturing all these different anime couples, but I was trying to picture who the quintessential couple would be to end the video with? Serena and Darien? What do you think?

I don't know about quintessential but I've always liked Ranma and Akane.

They're not so shoujo though, ya know? I'd have to watch more romance to be able to make a guess at a couple better than Serena and Darien.

Well for me, having no idea who Serena & Darien are, I'd probably say that I like the pairing of Kaorin & Mr. Kimura.

Just kidding.

Seriously though, there is a pair in my mind, but I can't remember their names. They're from Genshiken. The guy was president for a while; I think his name was Sasahara. The girl was named Oguie, or something like that.

Anyway, I haven't finished the manga series yet, & I only saw the anime up to the cosplay done by, um, (MAN! I can't believe I can't think of her name!), the one who doesn't like anime! Yeah, so, I have no idea if they actually did "hook up." They should have, though.

P. S. Ranma & Akane are a great pairing, too!

How about Sakuraba Aoi-chan, and Kaoru -sama from Ai Yori Aoshi? For me it's either them or Belldandy and K-1 of Oh!(Ah!) My Goddess! They get my vote over the two in Kare Kano, as they don't keep secrets, unless it is for a surprise party sort of thing.

When I started thinking about it (and one of the reasons I started this thread) was I realized that there weren't many happy couples in Anime... glad to see people coming up with some!

I'm quite partial to Revolutionary Girl Utena's UtenaxAnthy.

I don't know why, but I am so partial to Yaoi/Yuri. It's not just a pre-teen/teen girl OMGSQUEALYAOIYURI phase, I just really take a liking more to those couples than het..

So, another couple I absolutely love is SeishiroxSubaru, from X/1999 and Tokyo Babylon.

My faves would be Orihime x Rukia, Soi Fon X Yoruichi from Bleach; Lin x Lan Fan from FMA; Hikaru x Haruhi x Tamaki, Kyouya x Haruhi x Tamaki, Kyouya x Haruhi x Hikaru from Ouran; Sumire x Lucia from Venus Versus Virus; Yuuri x Kail from Red River; Shin x Maya, Maya x Mitsuomi from Tenjho Tenge; and others

Those are just the couples I ship off the top of my head

You have some questionable taste though... Ori x Grim? Ichi x Ruki? I personally think that Ichigo is too dense to ever have a partner in love. I like Ichi x Ruki if it refers to their awesome disciple x teacher relationship, but I don't think they're any more romantic than a pair of comrades. Ori x Grim just makes me laugh x3

Naruto!Canon couplings really irk me... I never liked Shika x Tem, I'm a Shika x Ino girl myself

IchiRuki can be really sweet, I agree. IshiOri is also pretty cute, even if it's one-sided pining.
