I've got a couple of dvd's currently.  Havn't watched it in a while but I do love cat!!  I remember one time I was watching my parents house for the weekend and they were doing a back to back red dwarf marathon.  I think I ended up watch the full series twice.

I <3 Red Dawrf.  It's been years since I have watched any, though.  My favorite episode is Quarantine.

Red Dwarf is awesome. I think I've seen about 2 episodes from each season, that's how random it was.

Of the ones I caught the backwards world episode is the best.

ooh! i haven't seen quarantine, nor the backwards ep, yet! however, i did see a little sort of best-of review, which showed a little bit of a *********spoiler warning!*************

bar fight of some kind with dave going backwards through the bar fight....looked silly

i enjoy the smeg-ups, but really, the most fun is chris barrie (rimmer) reading the audiobooks...

meantime ********************spoiler warning!****************

the most fun cat scene is probably the musical number ("tongue tied"). the lyrics are dreadful, but hey, who knows, maybe that would be shakespeare, to someone evolved over 3 million years from a cat. the choreography is silly, the costumes are as over the top as you'd expect from someone who
********************spoiler warning!***************

wanted to take multiple racks of clothes with him into suspended animation.......(or whatever that state is that lister survived in)..........

btw, the funniest anecdote from the 2 seasons' booklets that i've read so far, is that the actor who plays cat got the role in part because he showed up in costume in his dad's old sharkskin suit from the 50s....meow!

love y'all

So does anyone think there will ever be a Red Dwarf movie?

And was Season 8 the last one?

One of the best sit-coms of all time imo. Say em over at a friends house like 6 months ago... been hooked ever since. It's a common pass-time for me and my room-mate (now this one is for the adults) to take a shot every time the word "Smeg" is used. Good time...

I'd definitely go to the opening! Cosplaying as Cat, of course!

I liked the parallel universe ep and the eps w/the virtual reality game......

amusing anecdote, a friend of mine had me bring seasons 2 & 5 to show the virtual reality game eps to our Tibetan Buddhist teacher for his interpretation of them through a religious lens (same Tibetan teacher got a real kick out of the Matrix II)
