KawaiiKon
« on: April 06, 2008, 03:03:01 pm »
I know it's a longshot, but I was wondering if anyone else was going to the Hawaii anime convention KawaiiKon.

I'll be going this year (unless school decides to dump something on us again).

Woah, too close for me. I would love to go to Hawaii, but sadly, thats not enough time. I would be afraid to travel by air right now because of all the flight cancellations due to inspections >.< Well, Negima, have a great time, take plenty of pictures for us and tell us how it was!!!

Woah, like little bobble headed kodama?  Also, from the anime I've watched, I've gathered that in Japan it's "traditional" to sew a small plushie of your sweetheart...

Hmm?
I know people sew plushies (bears, bunnies, etc.) and give to their sweethearts to be romantic but I never heard of that being a tradition.

What!? You mean anime is not a completely accurate representation of ordinary life in Japan!? I will be outraged if you tell me that they don't really have giant robots!

not to be romantic but i sewed a boogy kun plushie for the manga ka Yuna Kagesaki as a gift, because I am a really big fan of Chibi vampire and the anime Karin,
twas cool cuz she didnt allow pictures but she wanted a pic with me to remeber who made it for her, and i got to take one with her too, i'd post it but i respect her wishes for no photos online i will show off in person once i get it printed out

Negima reporting back from duty.
The con was really fun.  It reminded me of Kumoricon back in 2004 (Marriot?) but I still think Kumoricon had a friendlier atmosphere.

I'll give a longer report once I rest up and upload my pictures (I took some good ones including videos).
