Shadow do ya live in/near Wilsonville? I live in Wilsonville and if I go....which would be most likely unless I am scheduled to work during the meet up... then maybe I can give you a ride. Heck it's a shorter commute than what I do for work everyday
I am going with my friends that I meet at Kumoricon (my first year) and we are gonna cosplay to it. I think it is playing at the Clackamas mall because I saw a trailer just on sunday so I am pretty sure it is gonna be there. Now I just need to reserve tickets!
I'm sure it's fine. You get the overall story either way. It is kind of like asking if it is okay to watch the anime without reading the manga. It doesn't matter in the long run. I have read the manga, but not seen the anime, or the movies. So, yeah... it doesn't matter. It's the same story, for the most part.

I liked the movies but It felt like they just skimmed the surface of the story in some areas.

The little parts of the movie I have seen I've liked (mainly, the scenes with shinigami). I love how they presented Ryuk and Rem. I think it looks pretty awesome, heh.
The movies have the same basic story, but they do not cover the whole series, so sad

Has anyone seen (or maybe it isn't out yet) the L spinoff movie? I think that takes place before Death Note, about L and Raye Penber's wife how they worked together. Should be pretty cool.
I'm wondering if any Seattle or Portland theatres will show this.... because I AM SO THERE!
